At least it'd clear the air. Someone said it was raining in London - I find it hard to believe. It'd be nice to have a downpour here. We did have sharp, heavy showers last Wednesday though.

I could really do with Nina here - I brought a dvd/vcr machine with freeview and it has so many plug ins I can't tell what I want/need and what I can ignore

We bought one of those recently but Son-in-law set it up. Now I'm wondering whether it will still work when HD arrives on

freeview.

lol, I'm having enough trouble sorting out my tv and freesat box

Nothing to the problems I'm having with a printer and no driver. Charles said it didn't need one and I can't find another disc. I couldn't register the printer as the box got thrown out (with the registration no. printed on it) and I'm fed up. Download I found isn't working.

We're not getting any more pets as it's just too upsetting when they are ill. Then the house seems so empty when they aren't there anymore.
So you were not persuaded to keep a kitten from the cat which adopted your daughter ?

Same here Meg, I couldn't face that again, it was awful. Sue

I would love another Bichon, dear little dogs- but we are not going to have another, they tie you down so much, and are a lot of expense and worry, Toby became incontinent so I had him put down, heartbreaking but what can you do with something like that. every time we see a Bichn the kids go on about getting anther one.

No we didn't. We have neighbours who 'adopt' other people's cats and I don't want to go through the trouble of stopping them doing that again. Having to knock on their door to get my cats back was a real pain. Stopping them giving them titbits when they weren't well and on special diets was a nightmare. Lovely people but I wish they'd get their own kittens instead of keeping other peoples. Their current cat lived at the end of the road but ended up with them however many times the people came and asked for them not to feed or lock their cat in that house.

tell me about it, my elderly neighbour kidnalpped my cat - it was always in her house, probably due to all our kids being noisy, but very annoying!!

and with the dog she would give him cream crackers with butter on - in the end I had to be quite blunt and say the vetr instructed that she gave no more, even then she gave him crackers plain on occasion - and she wondered why he made puppy dog eyes at her through the hedge all day, !! LOL

Next door just said that the cat wanted to be with them and that was that. Ours didn't succumb though, we may not over feed them but they still preferred sitting on us to anything else.
so sorry to hear that we had a highland terrier for over 20 years i cried buckets when we lost him so know how it feels dont know what i would without my cat and dont think i could have a dog again because mac was so special
I hope you can spend time with him, Pam. Having to go to work is a nuisance at times like this.
