Didn't know where the best place was to ask this, if a mod thinks of a better forum for it to go, they can move it, but I can link it to two pop artists, so it goes here.

Why don't all the booklets you get with an album contain lyrics? Because I like to be able to sing along. Most albums seem to have lyrics, and I can understand why Eurovision albums don't - with 40ish songs, it would be a very thick booklet. But two come to mind - the latest The Saturdays album (and their first one too, I think), and just last week I bought the Ke$ha album, and that too doesn't have lyrics in the booklet.

good question i'd like to know the answer to this too. the only things i can think of is them just not wanting people to know all the lyrics or to cut costs maybe?

Agreed, it could be because of the costs, but I wouldn't expect it to cost much. I might even pay £1 extra to have the lyrics, though.

I think it's a personal choice by the artists, at least it is on some record labels. I guess it just depends how much creativity the artists are involved with their artwork and the booklet. I know some bands out of choice don't have lyrics put in the album artwork. I agree though, I much prefer the booklet when there's lyrics printed...

I'm not sure.

Taylor Swift's is rather cool. She highlights certain words in each song which make up a lyrics when you say them together...

and she has a collage of some of her fans.

Which album is this? I have the original UK edition of "Fearless", and I don't remember seeing a collage of some of her fans, but some of the photos of her were amazing.

Paramore "Brand New Eyes" is also a pretty good booklet. Not shiny like most booklets, and some of the artwork is cool. As for "The Fame Monster", I adore Lady GaGa, but I don't like the way the lyrics are set out for the new tracks, so that you can't really tell where the verse ends and the next part begins.

It's in the US version I believe ;).

Yeh I found that with The Fame Monster too.
