Was very pleased to hear of all of these axings, not least the dire Adam and Danny, thank god, I can't bear to hear the latter's voice, a 'heart throb' surely needs to have some appeal beyond a pretty face, and his voice/accent/general presence is a bit of a deal breaker

Ya im glad he is going as he just fit with the mitchelles at all i think, i wonder will his exit tie in with peggy's exit aswell.

Apparently Lucy Benjamin [Lisa] returning. Was likely to happen once Louise was back!

So along with the exits, Bryan is bringing back three so far.

Im delighted Lisa is coming back, i always liked her and she was a great characator with alot of depth, nice to get some good news amid all the axings. I wonder has bryan anyone else now on his list that he wants back.

Oh it's a one-off just! Pleased with that :)

Former EastEnders actress Lucy Benjamin is to make a dramatic one-off return to the soap later this year as Lisa Fowler, Digital Spy can confirm.

The 38-year-old - who made her last appearance in November 2003 - will reprise her Walford role for a single episode, which is due to be filmed in the coming weeks.

Producers are keeping storyline details a closely guarded secret but her character's comeback will see Lisa swoop into Albert Square in a bid to retrieve her daughter Louise (Brittany Papple).

The youngster turned up outside Walford's tube station under mysterious circumstances, having been dropped off by an unidentified driver. Despite Ronnie (Samantha Womack) handing Louise over to Social Services, Louise has since been placed in the care of her father Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). Lisa's whereabouts, however, have yet to be revealed.

Over the coming weeks, one local resident will secretly contact Lisa, revealing Louise's location to the concerned mother.

Speaking of her decision to make a whistlestop return, Benjamin said: "I'm really looking forward to returning to EastEnders for this episode. It will be great to see some familiar faces and work alongside old friends again."

Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood added: "Lucy's character Lisa was responsible for one of the biggest cliffhanger episodes in EastEnders, so it's a real treat to have her back on screen."

An insider teased: "Lisa Fowler was a major part of Phil's life - she knows him as well as anyone, so she won't be happy about him looking after his daughter.

"With their history, you know that this storyline is going to be an explosive episode in the Mitchells' history."

They added: "Everyone at EastEnders is keeping really tight-lipped about what might happen and what will be revealed about Lisa's past - but it's bound be another event that will leave Phil reeling."

In 2001, Benjamin was at the centre of the 'Who Shot Phil?' plot, which quickly became one of British soap's biggest whodunnit mysteries.

Following a two-month wait, an estimated 22 million viewers tuned in to see her Walford counterpart unveiled as Phil's attempted murderer. In addition, the UEFA Cup semi-final was pushed back by 15 minutes in order for the schedules to accommodate the extended 40-minute screening.

At the end of last year, Benjamin became the first person to be voted off the ninth series of ITV1's jungle reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

Don't Lucy and Steve HATE each other after a pretty poisonous breakup? They dated in 'real life' for ages.

This will be AMAZING. Lisa is an iconic character. When she swept back into the Vic and caught Kate's flowers - ICONIC moment. Hopefully it's a Janine scenario and she'll be tempted to make a full-time return although I highly doubt it.

Im disapointed its only for one episode, they could have at least got her back for a week of episodes, i hope they tempt her back full time. As for steve and lucy i know there was storie sthey dont speal in real life after a bad break up where he cheated on her.
Lisa was always so whiney but a very good actress. I'm very interested as to why she gave up her daughter though. After all the damn hassle and dragging it out they did all those years ago of her so desperate to keep Louise, it just seemed so out of character for her to just well send her to the man she fought tooth and nail to escape from.
Oh I hated Lisa! All she did was cry and whinge!! I agree that Lucy is a good actress, but I was glad to see the back of Lisa when she finally left as she really did become a drip!
ya its def out of haractor for Lisa to just give up Louise especially to Phil after all he did to her, im not sure how they will wrap all this up in one episode, unless they are killing the charactor of completly.
I don't understand why Masood was bleeding at the end of the last episode? How is that in any way relevant?

Best ep in a while - obviously related to fact no Twatboy etc.

Really going to miss Pat and Peggy together when Babs leaves! Ahh drunk scenes!

Surprisngly great scenes with Jack and Max. Wish Dr Creepy would leave Ronnie alone.

Calm Mas is quite scary lol. Very strong ending with Mas cutting himself as him and Zainab spoke about the Koran.

He was gripping it so tight as he lied to Zainab, basically punishing himself.

Oohhh. Well that completely passed me by. I just thought, "why would he cut himself because his son is gay? Bit extreme isn't it Eastenders?" I wonder how many people actually worked out that's what he was doing.

I know, I saw a few comments on Twitter from people who didnt understand why someone cutting themselves was meant to be a cliffhanger. :kink:

Interesting Ben spoiler -

Louise writes "Leon is fit" in his diary, then Phil becomes aware of it, basically Ben cant be gay as he's a Mitchell etc etc. Ben demands "viciously" :kink: an apology from Louise - and then proceeds to press a metal spoon from a hot mug onto her arm - just like Stella did to him :o

And Lucas is...

going to murder a prostitute. Expected Liz to be next but looks like Lucas is going to be busy! Lots of pics in link below!

Random little bit that I managed to miss!

Off-screen Honey and her Dad Jack are in a car accident - Jack dies and Honey left in a serious condition. Looks like this is how Billy gets kids.

Shame they couldn't have brought them back for a few episodes and done this on-screen :(

Oh GOOD. I never want that po faced witch on my screen again.
