^Well that's a bit extreme...

Anyway Tanya's one-off return episode airs Wednesday 23rd of this month, 7-8pm.

OH MY DAYS.

That is ridiculous. I'm sorry, but it's a TV programme with fictional storylines filmed months in advance, if you're that offended you make it a link with real life DONT WATCH IT.

:puke2: .... sex with peggy and pat... i cannot think of anything more vomit inducing.

Really? Peggy's pretty lush for her age. Pat's not ugly either, if you like your ladies plus size, but I can't imagine myself saying no to Peggy.

Good episode again tonight. I loled when the Lucy and Lauren/Minty and Darren scenes were mixed up. The ending looks promising, and I'm interested as to who that woman Lucas spoke to was! :o
I loved Peggy and Pat last night, they were hilarious! :D

I didn't find it hilarious at all. I may possibly have found it funny about 30 years ago (when I was younger and had had a skinful) but really ... this isn't the 70's ... the humour should be a bit more sophisticated than this. I don't mean to be insulting to anyone ... but anyone who finds these sketches/scenes funny ... would probably have thought that shows like Love Thy Neighbour, On The Buses and Mind Your Language was comedic writing of the sublime.

There's always somebody waiting to shit on EastEnders isn't there? No, it wasn't sophisticated humour, and yes, it was highly silly, but Pat and Peggy are likeable characters and there's amusement to be had in the campness of their little battles and the way they always, ultimately, remain loyal to one another. It was a fun filler storyline. Christ.

Great ep tonight, BK's first credit as EP too alongside Santer.

Loved Ian's little bit about the old group of teens. Always nice to hear the names mentioned.

The final Lucas scene

Think this is part of the new stuff shot to replace the prostitute murder. Think his victim will instead be that girl in the bar. Or they'll just cut to Denise finding the scrapes on him and leaving rest up to our imaginations.

I assumed

the killing a randomer thing had been dropped altogether and that he was going there to get sex off a random girl in the bar because Denise and the rest of the family had made him really frustrated, or something like that. I don't get why they'd drop the prostitute thing if he's still going to kill a random girl. I'd be very displeased if that's what happens.

Fantastic to see Kim back, and Mercy's grandmother seemed a good addition :D Not terribly taken with the Vanessa/Max storyline though but a strong opener for Kirkwood.

If anything it made me realize how unfortunate it is that the Fox family is being broken apart what with Chelsea, Libby, Liz and presumably Lucas all departing.

Nice to see the writers have remembered Lauren's existance. Made me realize tonight how it's probably the best were getting a chance in actress though, she really was utterly bland tonight.

I hope

the end wasn't still Lucas trying to find someone random to kill, I think he's gone there to have sex with a girl at the bar, as he was smiling at a certain girl in the bar and that came to my mind straight away.

Only when EE has deserved to be $h!t upon! And the scriptwriters infantile attempts at humour deserve to be $h!t upon from a great height.

This doesn't mean that I don't appreciate what EE does best. Apart from this ridiculous Peggy/Pat storyline ... EE has been excellent for me for quite some time. I just think that the humour is ... dated to say the least. I did hope that some of the younger posters here on BJ would expect more from their scriptwriters (in the humour department) ... but I think I was probably kidding myself. I think Mushy has it right.

I can see Eastenders getting shafted a bit during the World Cup games, I've got to remember there is an episode on Weds instead of Friday.
