OMG :o that was amazing, I was glued to the TV screen, Peggy's face at the end was classic, I shall remember this episode as pure class.

From what I can tell everybody got out from the pub, but I didn't see Minty.

Very OTT acting there. and I couldn't hear any of the dialogue over the fire. But AMAZING nonetheless.

Revelations, fire, ALL of Albert Square out for the event, Ryan's bum. Just <3333

What was Tanya Turner screaming so hard about

Was her daughter not still in there while she was screaming?

Dissapointed nobody was killed (haha I sound like a psychopath). Thought they could have at least knocked off Minty and Charlie since their both leaving anyway.

Although I'm so pleased Peggy survived

Zainab saving Syed, Pat bitchslapping Stacey, what more does one want?

:o And I thought I was only watching it.

Simply amazing. Best episode in years. :D

If that was Peggy's final scene, what happens now? How are they writing her out

That's why you watch tomorrow Slowpokecoach :o

P.S No one said it was her last scene?

Another thing what I liked about the whole episode, they didn't cut off for Friday's episode when the Fire started, it was at the half way point of the episode when Phil threw the match, and all the drama unfolded.

When Phil threw the match I thought the credits were going to start rolling.

And Babs is not going to be written off completely she will be returning at some point to do one-off episodes later on.

Only caught the last 15 minutes or so but it was good. Strange though ... of all the emergency services to arrive the fire service was last ... given it was a fire I would have thought it'd be first on the scene (not neccessarily on time ... but at least first). Mind you ... didn't someone tell Dot to phone the fire brigade as they pushed her out of the door ... knowing Dot she probably dropped by church to say a prayer first.

Peggy looked positively possessed at the end!

OH.MY.GOD.

Incredible stuff. When Eastenders is good, it's f***ing good. I LOVED how Glenda just appeared from nowhere too. Marvellous.

YES.

Thank god I wasn't the only one that noticed that

Also, is Phil DEAD? He looked fairly dead.

The episode would have only been 10 minutes long if that were the case? :heehee:

LOLOL. Love it.

I do NOT even know where to start but that was OFF THE CHAIN amazing. Best bits:

+ Pat randomly getting her ASBO on in the girls' loos with Stacey

+ Dot drunkenly sashaying across the floor, cig in each hand

+ Sam continuing not to worry about 'the baby' in the slightest

+ The Stacey babydaddy reveal with Ryan in the road - totally brilliant

Best of all though was SURELY Glenda casually wandering over blissfully unaware of the huge raging fire RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER EYES - she is the new queen of 'so terrible it's fabulous' acting!

Not so good was poor Babs' acting but I don't even care. It was electric.

It was indeed rather amazing. It was actually rather emotional too I thought, im rather suprised no one died but a fitting way to end up to Peggy leaving.

Some of the minor touches were really good too I thought, such as the Masoods going back to save Syed and Vanessa's screaming for Jodie.

BTW, Has Peggy/Babs broke the world record for most duff-duffs in a row?
I have to admit that was pretty phenomenal stuff. It was one of those very rare times when a soap is in the same league of great US thrillers/dramas and many great films in terms of being on the edge of the seat totally glued to the TV. It was fan-bloody-tastic tbh. Babs acting was totally OTT but Steve McFadden was amazing and if he doesnt recieve best actor next year it will be outrageous (to even mention Scott Malson is the same sentence would be ridiculous). And I was sure Stacey was going to die at the end but I am glad she didnt. So will Peggy be in tomorrows episode now she isnt dead or is that it?
