Posted April 8, 201015 yr Is anyone going? A limited amount of tickets are available here for £16.50: http://www.ukeurovision.com/ I've just bought a ticket :D So far Hera Bjork ( ) and Niamh Kavanagh are performing. It's going to be a smaller event than the last two years, so they may be the only two to perform, but I'm hoping more will be added.
April 8, 201015 yr Yep, I'm going :cheer: See you there! Hope they add Paula and Ovi and Miro next and then my top 4 of the year will all be there
April 8, 201015 yr Author I'm actually raging at the moment. I've bought the ticket, but just checked out the venue's website and it says 21 and over age restriction! F*CK!!! Have emailed the Eurovision party people to ask if it applies to this event or whether they are lowering it for this event only. If there is an age restriction I am going to let rip at them for not making it clear on their website!!
April 8, 201015 yr Really? I didn't notice that. That's fucked up. But since the venue doesn't seem to open on a normal Sunday night, it might be different...
April 8, 201015 yr Author Fingers crossed! I'll be so annoyed to miss it just because I'm one year too young! :( And if I do have to miss it they'd better give me a refund for not noting it on their site or having any warning on the ticket site either. I just assumed it would be 18+ like the last two events were :( . Edited April 8, 201015 yr by Ghosty233
April 8, 201015 yr I won't be going sadly as my brother's getting married on that very day and his reception will go on into the early hours...shame, I'd liked to have seen Niamh and Hera. And in the four days I'm going to Wales at the end of the month I'm missing the Amsterdam preview party, Sarah Dawn Finer in London and Alphabeat in Brighton :/ I probably would have gone to at least two of the three (probably not Amsterdam :heehee:) but of course everything happens at the same time :drama:
April 8, 201015 yr I don't care because Im going to see 25 of them at the same evening :kink: And I'm going to see 39 (some twice) because I'm going to the final and both semi-final's... Nah, just kidding, I didn't think anything else could top going to the final
April 9, 201015 yr Author Just got an email from the organiser and he said 18+ are fine. Woo!!! :cheer:
April 9, 201015 yr Already more than 50% sold out And I find it a bit odd they have Niamh & Hera, who got the 12pts & 10pts from OGAE UK Edited April 12, 201015 yr by bigzarafan
April 12, 201015 yr What's wrong with that? It's only fair tbh  Didn't mean to put off, I meant odd. Like their's some kind of fix :P Every year, in the Retro Bar, fans watch the preview videos, and are split into countries to vote. Here are the results of the first semi-final: 1. ICELAND 142 2. ALBANIA 109 3. FINLAND 88 :o 4. SLOVAKIA 85 5. GREECE 83 6. PORTUGAL 80 7. MOLDOVA 78 8. BELGIUM 73 9. BELARUS 52 10. MALTA 48 11. ESTONIA 39 12. LATVIA 26 13. FYR MACEDONIA 26 14. POLAND 21 15. BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA 16 16. SERBIA 12 17. RUSSIA 8 To avoid tactical voting, every fan will have to switch country for the final.
April 12, 201015 yr Yes I was there :o Surprised that Finland was so high too, but I know some Finnish fans were present. Lots of Portugese fans there too, I doubt that Portugal would have gone through otherwise. Serbia seemed very popular, but it didn't translate to votes.
April 16, 201015 yr Romania will now be at the preview party :cheer: Not that I'm going, but I do really like the song
April 16, 201015 yr I love it too, if only Miro was going to be there (he's at the Amsterdam party instead), my whole top 4 would be there :D
April 16, 201015 yr Author I find it so annoying how so many acts turn up to the Amsterdam party and then hardly anybody goes to the London one <_< . Never mind, I'm over the moon that Romania will be there :cheer: .
April 16, 201015 yr Josh has been confirmed for Amsterdam :) Let's hope this helps us get some Dutch votes - though they can only vote for 10 countries, and I think there are more than 10 at their preview party
April 16, 201015 yr Author I find it very bizarre how the UK acts don't turn up to the London party, or at least it doesn't look like he'll be there at the moment. I really hope they get at least one more entrant to perform in London, £16 is a lot to pay for 3 acts considering the Amsterdam party is just 25 euros for like 17 acts :\
April 17, 201015 yr I find it very bizarre how the UK acts don't turn up to the London party, or at least it doesn't look like he'll be there at the moment. I guess it's because they don't need to promote in their own country as much, considering we can't vote for Josh
