Shania Twain gets show on Oprah's network

 

The Oprah Winfrey Network announced today that Shania Twain will be the subject of her own series, Why Not? With Shania Twain. The hour-long show will chronicle Twain's career and personal life.

 

"The show will follow [Twain] as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures," says a statement from the network.

 

An air date for Why Not? With Shania Twain has yet to be announced. The Oprah Winfrey Network currently reaches over 76 million homes with programming featuring Dr. Oz, among others.

 

The announcement of Twain's show furthers speculation that the singer is preparing for her musical comeback in 2010.

For being such a reclusive person, I'm shocked she would do a reality series.

Although waiting 9 years for an album (if it's actually gonna be released next year), is way too much. I hope her sixth album won't be in 2020...

Shania (and rumor has it, Oprah too) is in Timmins, Canada right now filming stuff for her "Why Not...." show, airing in 2011 on OWN (Oprah's new network).
