Well my concert review is............ The set list was good. Had all the main hits (young hearts, nights on broadway, suspicous minds, you got the love etc). The band was good. In places she was fantastic at others the vocals were not very clear. She has good chatter between songs (unlike the warm up artist who had a lovely voice but lacked stage presence). The show seemed short (not sure if that due to the fact they arrived late cos of travel problems or the restrictions on the club) but I enjoyed it. I wouldn't have paid more to see the show but thought on this occasion I got value for money. If you like her music, you'll like her show..............

Well I am a Joan Armatrading fan (tho not fanatic I only have 7 of her 20 CD releases) and was expecting to enjoy the concert, but I was blown away !!!! It was brilliant. There was a strange incident with a photographer, but she was singing well and is such a talented guitarist.... The crowd favourites were Love & Affection (obviously), The Weakness In Me (another classic), Best Dress On (a rocky track from her new CD) and Me, Myself, I. The Encore was Willow & Drop The Pilot. She sang quite a few tracks from her new CD (but it's great so that was fine). Only thing for me was she played a couple of tracks from the previous Into The Blues CD which I wasn't keen on (that's my personal taste tho......she played and sang them well). Definitely worth the money. Not much crowd interaction but when she did engage with the crowd it was charming. Definitely one to go see........................the 2 hours flew by.

(Her support act was Lisbee Stainton. Lisbee was on for approx 30 mins and was brilliant too. Really put the crowd into a good mood. She is similar to Shawn Colvin)
