I don't create many new posts in this forum, but I thought i would let all you serious fans of the King, that he is on the biography channel this Wednesday at 7pm.

This documentary reveals the king at his most thrilling, featuring exclusive unseen photos of his 1956 tour as well as clips of the controversial TV appearances which shot him to fame. Together with digitally remastered renditions of his hits including Blue suede shoes, a must for any fan. :cheer:

Thanks for letting us know Brian :cheer: Just had a quick look, I think it's Elvis '56
Just noticed that Elvis On Tour is on TCM on Friday 14th July at 3pm  So set your videos B)
After Elvis '56 was shown tonight, they followed up with programmes about Bobby Darin and then Buddy Holly and, Elvis naturally featured in both of them  Enjoyed the one about Buddy Holly. A sad story, he had all that potential for so much more great music and died so tragically young, only two years after his first hit

You're not going to believe this, but I missed the programe :( by the time I remembered it had finished.Sad about Buddy Holly, there was a few singers that died in accidents round about that period if I remember.

But just think of that great concert in heaven. Hope my ticket takes a little while in coming. :D

Never mind, Brian, I'm sure they'll show it again soon, and if they don't, there's always Woolworths ;) think it's been on offer there ;) If you get TCM, tape Elvis On Tour on Friday cos it's a good one

It sure is sad that so many greats have died prematurely, but, like you, I'm in no hurry to get front row seats to see them in concert ;)
