April 14, 201015 yr The Lancaster Train comes into Euston I wasn't sure which line Manchester was on. I still can't help as I use the tube. I've emailed Nina to see if she knows.
April 14, 201015 yr Sue You can catch a number 188 bus from Russell Square (which is only a short walk from Euston station and that will take you to North Greenwich. The journey takes just over an hour but allow extra time for traffic http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/AHF/JP08__00005b93.pdf To get from Euston to Russell Square - come out of the station, cross over the Euston Road (which is a big dual carriage way) and opposite you should see Tavistock Square which leads into Woburn Place. Russell SQ is along Woburn Place. I'm not sure where the bus stop is but it will be somewhere along that road or Southampton Row (which it leads into) http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sour...021136&z=16
April 14, 201015 yr The bus also goes from Waterloo but it is quicker to catch the Jubilee line to North Greenwich
April 14, 201015 yr Help needed please. Are there any hotels near the arena, within walking distance and coming by train from Manchester would we have to catch another train to get to the arena or could we get there by taxi without it being far too expensive? I can't do the escalators at the tube stations. Sue Hi Sue! The London Docklands Travelodge is 7.3 miles from Euston and 3.3 miles from the O2 Arena. It has rooms available from £29(no changes or cancellation) or £45.70 for their flexible rate, which can be cancelled upto 12pm on the day of arrival. Travelodges aren't amazing quality, but the rooms are clean and functional, and good value at the saver rate. I would guess a taxi from Euston to the hotel would be around £20ish each way, though it could be a little more. I would imagine from hotel to the O2 would be around £10ish, but once again, it could be a little more. There may be hotels closer, but I would imagine the cost would be more than the Travelodge. Hope this is of some use. Hope to see you there :)
April 14, 201015 yr I really would love to go to this... I have just checked ticket prices, which range from £28-75 to £67-25 and I have been offered Row F in Block 102 - the stage is in the middle of the auditorium and Block 102 is centre front. I have just checked the diary and find that I am supposed to be going to see Lee Mead that night with my husband and step-daughter!! :banghead: Anybody want a Lee Mead ticket!!??  Julie P.S. I was told the performance was at 1.30p.m. Anyone know how long Carmen is?.... perhaps I could get back and see Lee Mead as well!! Which ticket site is that from please Julie?
April 14, 201015 yr There is also a Travelodge right by Euston Station - in Grafton Place and the 188 bus runs all night so you could easily get back to Euston after the show and then be near the station to get home. Prices are from £32 per night.

April 14, 201015 yr OK hotel and tickets booked, anyone fancy a meet up :) From what I've seen, cameras aren't allowed, so I won't bother taking my Canon. Does anyone know if, like at the Sheffield arena, they will allow compact cameras in, or is it likely to be strictly no photography there?
