May 5, 201015 yr Does anyone know how long the performance might be? Last time I spoke to customer services at The Arena they didn't know yet. When I goggled it , it depends how many intervals there are, sometimes it's one and some venues have two, so it can be as long as three and a half hours. Anyone been to see Carmen before? Sue
May 6, 201015 yr http://www.theo2.co.uk/blog/2010/04/23/car...hearsals-begin/ A couple of short excerpts from the Carmen rehearsals which began April 27th (but no D)
May 7, 201015 yr I can't decide whether or not to find out what this opera is about. On one hand, I would like to know what is going on, but on the other, I hate knowing what happens in a film before I have seen it(never seen an opera before). With Chicago and Guys And Dolls, I didn't bother to find out in advance, and I enjoyed both of them. With Gone With The Wind, I got the DVD, so had a reasonable idea what was going to happen, and still enjoyed it. Decisions, decisions
May 7, 201015 yr The plot is easy to follow, BP, not as complicated as GWTW. And it is being sung in English (as translated by Amanda Holden). Think typical Mills and Boone carried to excess.
