mine for this year (and this will be it unless Germany or Azerbaijan significantly drift in the coming weeks)

£2 on Croatia (each way) at 12/1

£2 on Ireland (each way) at 25/1

£2 on Turkey (each way) at 25/1

£2 on Belgium (each way) at 50/1

£2 on Romania (each way) at 66/1

I only ever spend £10, wanted to put some money on Sweden, Belarus, Greece and Serbia too but resisted the temptation to put anything more than a tenner on. And I rarely put money on anything with odds of 10/1 or under because I put so little money on in the first place that it seems pointless.

I can't believe Ireland are at 25/1 :o I think that's a smart bet there. And Croatia at 12/1.

I'm certainly not expecting Niamh to win, but if she gets a similar draw to Jade in the final (the song's just as good in my opinion), she might be able to scrape a 4th place! I can't see Croatia missing the top 4 at all...the odds are weird this year - Germany, Israel, Denmark and Armenia all in the top 5 odds...I wouldn't be surprised if they all missed it to be honest!
I reckon the top five will likely be made up of Germany, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Denmark and Romania...give or take Denmark.

I still think they're being massively overrated. I'm seeing 8th-12th for Denmark but I'll be happy to be proved wrong. God knows why Armenia are being so overrated, on past form I guess because the song's hardly that great.

I WANT to put money on but I'll be honest, I do not understand how or what any of it means. Even if I won I wouldn't know whether I'd won. It would be nice to capitalise on the Eurovision experts we have on BJ though. Last year your tip-offs won me a sweepstake :kink:

That's almost my prediction in the Allkindsofeverything prediction game  I certainly went:

1) Germany

2) Azerbaijan

3) Croatia

Then I think I went for:

4) Romania

5) Slovakia

Though I may have put Sweden in the place of Romania

I don't ever put money on, but your bets look good, Rich. I'd probably have put money on Sweden rather than Belgium, but out of your five bets, Belgium is the only country I'd be surprised with if it came top 4. Right now, I see Azerbaijan as a guaranteed top 3, but other than that, I don't really know how the results will turn out

I'd be surprised too, but at 50/1, you never know what type of song will catch on (Latvia 2005 somehow managed to make the top 5 ), so I figured it's worth risking a couple of quid over, it certainly stands out from the pack if only because of its simplicity.

Which country is currently odds on fave to win. Norway was the runaway favourite right from the start in 2009 iirc.

I certainly hope Azerbaijan and Germany do well at Eurovision.

I might even put £5 on the UK coming last. :D

Germany are current favourites.

I expect UK are favourites to come last, or close to it, so don't expect to win much back

Ooh fantastic. :D

Hopefully Lena Meyer-Landrut will walk it - or Sarufa. That'd be an excellent top 2 regardless of the order. As I've already posted, they are by far my fave two songs in Eurovision 2010. No other song comes close to these two.

I agree with everything you've said here :D well apart from the spelling mistake in Safura's name :kink:

Although I'd be happy with a Croatia/Ireland/Sweden win too...

still, the only time I've particularly liked the winners in the last decade was 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2009 so I won't hold out any great hope that a song I like will win

I was one of the select few who didn't get the big deal with 'Fairytale' last year. It was alright, but was it really that good? Europe obviously thought so.

Best Eurovision winners from the last decade for me were 2003 (Sertab  ), 2004, 2005 and 2006. Sertab was my fave Eurovision winner from the whole of the last decade. I just really liked 'Everyway That I Can' - especially the Galleon remix which made specially for the show.

Well from the moment I first heard it in Norway's Melodi Grand Prix last January I thought it was the Eurovision winner, so obviously I got the big deal! One of my top 5 songs of last year overall (in general, not just Eurovision terms) so I definitely think it was great

I didn't like Sertab at all, or Lordi particularly although I can appreciate the latter being a great winner just because of how different it was (and how far superior it was to the Russian song in 2nd place).

Fairytale was easily my favourite winner of the 00's, followed by Everybody, Wild Dances and My Number One, in that order. For completeness sake I'd rank the remaining after those four in this order; Fly On The Wings Of Love, Molitva, Hard Rock Hallelujah, Believe, Everyway That I Can, I Wanna (:puke:)

I was the same, at the beginning I was close to hating it.

My favourite winner of the last decade is quite easily "My Number One"

I'd order the winners as follows:

Fairytale

Molitva

Wild Dances

My Number One

Every Way That I Can

Fly On The Wings of Love

Believe

Hard Rock Hallelujah

I Wanna

Everybody (:puke2:)

While we're at it, here's my ranking:

Every Way That I Can :D

My Number One

Hard Rock Hallelujah

Wild Dances

Fly On The Wings of Love

Fairytale

I Wanna

Molitva

Believe

Everybody :pirate:

Firstly i out €10 on Ireland to qualift for the final and then for the final i did the following

I put €5 each way on Ireland

€2 each way on Romania at 33/1

€2 each way on Croatia 14/1

€1 each way on Norway 10/1

€2 each way on turkey 25/1

€2 to win on Azerbaijan at 7/2

Thats what im thinking about Azerbaijan, they aint worth betting on unless you put big money on them and i dont have big money to spend, im using paddy power ireland have odds of 20/1 so i put €5 each way with potential winings if €135 and i also put €1 on Ireland to win which has potential winnings of €21, i also put a bet onNorway to win i put €1 on with odds of 10/1 which has the potential of winning €11

This is my order of the winners 2000-2009. LOVED 4, liked 7, the other 3 - average with I Wanna absolutely AWFUL.

lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Every Way That I Can

llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Fairytale

llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Molitva

lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll My Number One

lllllllllllllllllllllllllll Wild Dances

lllllllllllllllllllllllllll Hard Rock Hallelujah

lllllllllll Fly On The Wings of Love

llllllll Believe

lll Everybody

ll I Wanna

It disgust me that I Wanna managed to beat the three best songs in the competition, which all lined up directly behind it in 2nd/3rd and 4th :( I wish Latvia hadn't participated, would have been my favourite top 3 ever!
