looks like the Beatles tribute will be on TV, as we got an email this morning from Lostintv offering tickets for the show - albeit they are still expensive!! I hope it is on, should be quite a show!

 

 

I sort of wish they would do a big Elvis tribute with Darius involved as I still tingle at Darius in Elvis mode on Des Oconner!! who else has such a deep velvet voice to do Elvis songs justise

I wonder if the musical arrangements are all being done by the same person or if the artists will have some leeway as to how they interpret the Beatles' songs.

 

Wouldn't it be something if Dame Shirley, Tony, Beverley and Darius all took to the stage at the same time to harmonise on a medley of songs? They've got such great voices and stage presence.

The last number has all the soloists singing together - I think that's as far as it'll go.

Just heard that Darius is on Radio Manchester this afternoon, the Becky Want Show starting at 2 o'clock, 95.1 FM. Hope she remembers her manners, she's made it perfectly clear what she thinks of Darius in the past! Sue

I hope she can get over it - it never ceases to amaze me , the bias of some interviewers against and towards people, oh well

I heard her say that Darius couldn't make it as he had a last minute audition to go to but he had phoned her producer to apologise and that was the first time that a star had ever phoned personally to explain why they couldn't make it, so they were all very impressed and forgave him. The DJ said it was a decent thing for him to do and he would be with them in the next couple of weeks instead.

Darius should sing Live Twice but not big band style. It still moves me so much every time I play it, although I preferred Journey's End when the album first came out.

Unfortunately £175 a ticket is just too much. I'm glad he's doing it as it's always good to see him carry on supporting the causes he always has.
