October 1, 201014 yr It's not just the cost of a ticket........... it's travel, hotel, glam new outfit, killer shoes etc and the fact I'd feel totally out of my depth in that sort of company. I'm more Fauldhouse than Hurlingham when it comes to clubs.
October 1, 201014 yr Author It's for charity, so you'd probably feel fine. Just too much though, for me. I'm glad the charity will do well out of it.
October 1, 201014 yr No I wouldn't. I think I would have fled the Banqueting Hall early if I hadn't been in the company other Darius fans I knew.
October 1, 201014 yr Author Everyone is just a person - some with more money than others but that doesn't mean they aren't lovely, caring people. I tend to judge how I find people not how they dress or what they have. I'd hardly talk to my daughter if that were the case.
October 1, 201014 yr I'm not judging anyone else. I'm just more of a background person. I never book front seats. I don't even feel comfortable sitting on the front seat on a bus.
October 1, 201014 yr Author Ah ... you see, all through my life, I've known I'm of no importance - therefore, I'm usually invisible anyway. It doesn't matter where I sit or what I do as I don't really exist, so all that matters is that I do what I feel to be right for the people around me. It's dead easy when you're a non person.
October 1, 201014 yr No I wouldn't. I think I would have fled the Banqueting Hall early if I hadn't been in the company other Darius fans I knew. You're such an intelligent and lovely person BT, I can't think of anywhere(nice) where you would be out of place, though I know what you mean about feeling that way as I am similar myself(but without the intelligence or as nice a personality).
October 1, 201014 yr Just a thought here and it's not on the website, but if D is in London on the 8th of October, surely he would make an appearance at the NUTS event on the 7th, which is featuring music from several opera's, including Carmen. I think anyone in the area that could go along might get a nice surprise, though I have absolutely no knowledge of D's attendance.
October 1, 201014 yr I heard her say that Darius couldn't make it as he had a last minute audition to go to but he had phoned her producer to apologise and that was the first time that a star had ever phoned personally to explain why they couldn't make it, so they were all very impressed and forgave him. The DJ said it was a decent thing for him to do and he would be with them in the next couple of weeks instead. Only just seen this, thanks Rachel. Glad I know what happened. Sue
October 1, 201014 yr Nuts event The programme doesn't mention D http://www.concert-diary.com/concert/97386...ht-at-the-Opera
October 2, 201014 yr Given his antics this year, and that he's supported them in the past, it would be amazing if he didn't appear, even if it was only a quick aria. Fingers crossed for anyone who's going along :) Wish I could but works busy at the moment.
October 2, 201014 yr Darius is definitely NOT on the bill for NUTS. I phoned them up as soon as I got their blurb. I thought I'd posted that on here but maybe I only thought about it.
October 2, 201014 yr Darius is definitely NOT on the bill for NUTS. I phoned them up as soon as I got their blurb. I thought I'd posted that on here but maybe I only thought about it. I know he's not listed, just think he might appear anyway.
October 27, 201014 yr I really wish Darius would stop p*ssy footing around and either confirm some dates for the tour next year or confirm he's not going ahead with the dates in the programme. This never knowing about upcoming events until we're nearly on them is so frustrating and IMHO not good for either him or us. I'm definitely not impressed with his new management/PR team? He still seems to be left doing it all himself.
October 27, 201014 yr Author He IS going ahead with the tour - just not necessarily as it's listed. It shouldn't be in the programme for next year as that hadn't been finalised. When he knows what is happening, he will finalise the dates and venues. Edited October 27, 201014 yr by megham
October 27, 201014 yr that was a bit naughty - i really assumed that if they were in the public program they were definate.
October 27, 201014 yr I'm sure a lot of people would, and they're going to be pretty annoyed if they think he's coming locally and then he's not. Why does he/ those who're supposed to be looking after him, keep on rubbing people up the wrong way and spoiling things he's/they've worked hard to make a success?
