Posted April 20, 201015 yr Coldplay grade songs for new album Tuesday, April 20 2010, 11:17 BST By Robert Copsey Rex Features Coldplay have reportedly set up a grading system to help them choose the tracks for their fifth studio album. The group, who have sold over eight million copies of their last LP Viva La Viva Or Death And All His Friends, have reportedly penned over 50 tracks for their new record. The 'Violet Hill' rockers have built a specially-made wall on which to stick the grades for their songs, marking them A, B or C. Coldplay's regular blogger, known as Roadies #42, said: "The cards are first arranged on the wall in terms of A, B and C. "The A list are songs that have to go on the record. The B list are songs that might or might not. The C list contains things that are being left - not forgotten, but that are unlikely to be worked on immediately - they'll either find a home or they won't." It is not yet clear whether the album will be released before the end of 2010.
