Posted April 20, 201015 yr http://img.perezhilton.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/aleqm5jxagrtvjvxiy4sihhjmjs__oPt.jpg Uh-oh! She is going to p*** off a lot of people, regardless of what she chooses! Kelly Clarkson, who has never had a problem speaking out against things she doesn't like, is set to perform in concert in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. However, Indonesia apparently has no laws against advertising tobacco related products commercially, and one of the country's most popular brand of cigarettes, L.A. Lights, is sponsoring the pop star's show - and throwing advertisements up all over the town with her face next to the brand name of the cigarettes! WTF?? Unacceptable!! The singer has now come under fire from various anti-smoking campaigns back in the States! Matt Myers, President of the Tobacco-Free Kids Campaign, says: "If Kelly Clarkson goes ahead with the concert, she is by choice being a spokesman for the tobacco industry and helping them to market to children. She has the power now to turn this situation around and to send a clear message to Indonesian young people and, frankly, to the young people of the world." Given Indonesia's growing problem with tobacco usage in their youth, not to mention in the rest of the world, we have to agree! By complying to their sponorship, she's advocating and promoting smoking habits! Absolutely disgusting. Neither Clarkson nor her label have commented or made a statement, but we're sure it's coming! We hope she makes the right decision.Oh and he tweeted this to her: @kelly_clarkson Boo! You should know #CigarettesKill in response: OhLeRHsfq3Q
April 20, 201015 yr Seriously? Like. SERIOUS? Is that the best thing he could come up with? OH LMFAO!  What a pathetic waste of space! Making something out of fukking nothing. Prick.
April 20, 201015 yr What fucks me off, is the fact it feels like they're blaming Kelly herself. When I doubt she has any say in who sponsers her tours or whatever! I can't wait to hear/read her reply. I hope she shuts that fat, vile, oaf up once and for all. He makes me physically sick. (DigitalSpy too :puke:)
April 21, 201015 yr Author ^I tweeted back at him saying that i hope she shreds him to pieces a la Kanye and the VMAs ^_^

April 21, 201015 yr Author oooh. You're on Twitter? I don't think I have you! :( @johnjo07 :D Add meh init bruv? Ive been meaning to get it from you! And ive followed you :D Can't wait to see if Kelly responds, her responces are usually amazing I think its a tie between her response to Kanye and Taylor Swift' manager for funniest KC reply.
April 21, 201015 yr I think its a tie between her response to Kanye and Taylor Swift' manager for funniest KC reply.I think the Kanye reply just edges it for me. I was in stitches at both of them
April 21, 201015 yr Dear God. I don't understand how people actually think that kids will start smoking because they see that a cigarette brand is sponsoring a concert. Get a f***ing life.
April 21, 201015 yr Author Apparently shes been banned from going to Indonesia now cos of this :o Perez Hilton may you forever burn in f***ing hell.
April 21, 201015 yr Oh oh oh oh!!!! We have an IAmKelly post: So ….my morning began with finding out that I am all over billboards, tv ads, and other media formats along side a tobacco company who unbeknownst to me is sponsoring my Jakarta date on my current tour. I was not made aware of this and am in no way an advocate or an ambassador for youth smoking. I’m not even a smoker, nor have I ever been. Unfortunately, my only option at this point was to cancel the show in order to stop the sponsorship. However, I can’t justify penalizing my fans for someone else’s oversight. This is a lose-lose situation for me and I am not happy about it but the damage has been done and I refuse to cancel on my fans. I think the hardest part of situations like this is getting personally attacked for something I was completely unaware of and being used as some kind of political pawn. Kelly Not quite the scathing Perez must die attack we were hoping for tho.
April 21, 201015 yr Author Oh Kelly :( I think its nice that shes still doing the concert for the fans but i think whoever got the sponsorship deal should be fired. Its ridiculous that Kelly had NO idea about this until she woke up and found it all over the net. I love the fact that she does EVERYTHING for her fans including ruining her reputation as the "good girl". Poor Kelly :(
April 21, 201015 yr Poor Kelly :( It's f***ing me off, because she had no idea etc... and also because if she had found out before Per...*pukes* got his dirty, little, grubby hands on it, she probably would have done something about it. Nice to see she is still doing a show for her fans though. Her and GaGa are two of the only acts around now, who actually CARE about doing what they're doing and genuinely love their fans. Such a shame it all ended the way it did, just because of one vile, pathetic loser who has no other "major story" to go on.
April 21, 201015 yr KC keeps going up in my eyes. Risking serious damage to her reputation [granted it's mainly at the hands of that sack of jealous $h!ttyness Perez] to put on the show for her fans. Artists who put fans first deserve far far far more credit than they get.
April 21, 201015 yr Why the hell was Kelly getting blamed for this? Presumably Perez has at least one braincell underneath all that fat to figure out that she wasnt actually the one responsible for the advertising....never have been able to stand the bloody turd of a 'man' anyway. Adore Kelly for the fact she refused to cancel though (would have been flipping ridicolous to do so anyway tbh).
April 21, 201015 yr This really pisses me off. Great that she didn't cancel the show though. I absolutely adore her
April 21, 201015 yr Author Only one good thing has come from this... The forum is active again  (Sorry but it had to be done :P)
