Wouldn't have that there myself, or AC/DC's 'Back In Black' so high [even if it is a fantastic album!]. :/ @ System of a Down however.
April 26, 201015 yr Author Toxicity is a well good album Josh. although Tom placing it could be to do with the fact he is good mates with Serj Tankian.
April 26, 201015 yr Toxicity is a well good album Josh. although Tom placing it could be to do with the fact he is good mates with Serj Tankian. If I'm being honest, I've never listened to Toxicity because I can't stand System of a Down, but I might give it a listen anyho.
April 26, 201015 yr how can you not stand system of a down? what is wrong with you? Their music has never appealed to me I guess.
April 27, 201015 yr Some great choices there, although they're not all strictly heavy-metal... Think SBS is only the second best Sabbath album though, I'd still put Paranoid as number one. It just broke so much new ground in metal, every song on that album is a classic.
June 28, 201015 yr lol since when are system of a down heavy metal Since forever. What else would you call them?
June 28, 201015 yr Author Since forever. What else would you call them? alternative metal (which is actually an offshoot of heavy metal).
June 28, 201015 yr alternative metal (which is actually an offshoot of heavy metal). I've always considered alternative metal to be a type of heavy metal rather than an offshoot. Heavy metal is an umbrella term that encompases all types of metal
June 28, 201015 yr Author yeah i sort of meant type rather than offshoot. and yeah 'heavy metal' is the actual massive genre, people just say 'metal' for short.
June 28, 201015 yr yeah i sort of meant type rather than offshoot. and yeah 'heavy metal' is the actual massive genre, people just say 'metal' for short. I've never really understood the difference between heavy metal/and metal, I've always assumed that it's the same thing.
June 28, 201015 yr I've never really understood the difference between heavy metal/and metal, I've always assumed that it's the same thing. It is. And of course Heavy Metal is just a type of Rock :D
July 28, 201014 yr I like System of A Down. They can be briliant if sometimes too clever for their own good and they do sometimes remind of Spinal Tap. I like the fact they are incredibly political though and they've done some great videos
