Posted July 9, 200618 yr Chicago star Darius Danesh chased two men from a London nightclub last night after they attacked a girl he was partying with and threw a bottle at him. The Scottish singer was at the Cheers Bar in Piccadilly with cast members from the West End musical when the two men assaulted a girl from his group. She was spat at and left with a cut hand. Darius informed the bouncers who ejected the men, but they waited outside for him and began pushing and shoving him. Undeterred, Darius lead his party to the nearby Cuckoo Club, but the men followed and threw a bottle at the singer, narrowly missing him. Darius chased one of the men while the other was held by bouncers, but the Scottish star lost him in the back streets of Picadilly. He then returned to tell his story to the police, who were by this time waiting outside the Cuckoo Club, but insisted he would not press charges against the men. July 9, 200618 yr I don't see any photos when I click on that link :( Edited July 9, 200618 yr by Madame Cholet
July 9, 200618 yr I'm just getting some kind of a message that they aren't available. I don't like the headline Darius's fight night. It makes it sound like he was personally involved in a brawl. I wonder who the girl was who was hurt. I know there were quite a few members of the ensemble mentioned in the programme who were not actually on stage on Saturday but as I haven't seen any shows before this weekend, I don't know if they have been missing for a while and the programme hasn't been updated. July 10, 200618 yr I have got a sneaky feeling I have a pic of them with D enticing him out. He was going to go home, but they kept on at him, and he agreed to go for "one quick drink" :( I am so pleased nothing happened to him as a result of this.
July 10, 200618 yr One of the girls I registered was missing was Sarah Soetaert, the pretty blonde girl who did the "artistic differences" part in the Merry Murderesses' song at the Adelphi. She was still listed in theCambridge programme though. Natalie is listed as Annie but I'm not sure which one that is. What part does Susan play. It must have been very distressful for them. Fancy going out for a drink and having a complete stranger spit on you. That's just gross! I wonder if their alleged assailant(s) knew who they were or it was just a random attack and they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's disgusting, either way.
July 10, 200618 yr None of the girls appearing seemed to have a cut hand, well a cut that was visible. Susan normally plays the one with artistic differences and is 2nd understudy to Roxie, Natalie is the one who finds her boyfriend has 6 wives and is second understudy to Velma. Both are very good in their roles, which is why I remember them.
July 10, 200618 yr Were they onstage on Saturday, megham? I thought the Cell Block Tango had a lot more oomph at the Cambridge.
July 10, 200618 yr I hope they'll both be OK. Dean Street and Christian Valle were also notable absentees. I don't think I've seen a show without Christian but I've seen Dean occasionally do the first half only or sit out shows because he's the dance captain.
July 10, 200618 yr It's the first show I been to where they couldn't get enough dancers to field a full complement. It went amazingly well all things considered. I don't know which one's had injuries and which ones were unwell.
July 10, 200618 yr I wonder why one page of the photos on WENN are embargoed for UK tabloids but the other page is not. Very strange!

I don't know which one's had injuries and which ones were unwell. They must have worked really hard to cover that. Unless someone had seen the company a few times, I don't think he/she would have realised.
July 10, 200618 yr They did really well. I know one of the male dancers was called in and one male dancer only covered half the show. The girls were one down as well. It just shows how strong the cast is, how ggod the show was.

July 11, 200618 yr Although I think Darius took too big a risk taking after the guy, I think he showed a lot of restraint, firstly letting security handle it, then ignoring the guys' obvious attempt to start a fight with him by jostling him. I suppose it must have been the bouncer who called in the police.
