Posted April 29, 201015 yr Girls Aloud's 'The Promise' up for Ivor Novello Award! We're thrilled to announce that Girls Aloud have been nominated at this year's prestigious Ivor Novello awards! The girls' chart-topping hit 'The Promise' is up in the category for Most Performed Work, facing stiff competition from Lily Allen's 'The Fear' and James Morrison's 'Broken Strings'. The track has already earned critical acclaim for the girls after being announced as Best British Single at last year's BRIT Awards. Fingers crossed it can take them all the way once again! The 2010 Ivor Novello awards will take place at Grosvenor House in London on 20th May. Great news! I really hope it wins, to show that they're still relevant. Hopefully they all turn up for the ceremony too. -_-
