May 25, 201015 yr Author 8/10 right in semi one :cheer: I win so far, everyone else seems to have got 7...
May 25, 201015 yr Author Ahhh another one who falls victim to the Slovakia/Portugal shocks! I know, what the hell? although I really liked Portugal's performance :o
May 25, 201015 yr I didn't fall victim to Portugal, I had her as 9th - nice performance and outfit, bad facial expressions. But I fell victim to Slovakia - and they put so much effort into their selection :snif:
May 27, 201015 yr Author okay, updated Semi 2 qualifiers - let's see if I can beat the 8/10 BuzzJack record I got from Semi 1 :kink: 1. Azerbaijan 2. Armenia 3. Croatia 4. Turkey 5. Sweden 6. Ireland 7. Romania 8. Ukraine 9. Israel 10. Georgia ---------------- 11. Denmark 12. Cyprus ---------------- 13. Lithuania 14. Bulgaria 15. Switzerland 16. The Netherlands 17. Slovenia If Georgia put on a vocally stunning performance a la Portugal, I can really see them making it in! Ukraine will make it anyway, Alyosha's been very strong vocally. I have no idea of who might be the casualty in 11th place...I'm going to go with Denmark only because I think the juries would be blasted for letting Israel slip out at this stage. The order of the top ten I'm actually not at all sure on :o If Safura's performance is really as weak as we're led to believe, she could finish lower but I still think she'll win the semi - if not I reckon Armenia have got it.
May 27, 201015 yr Denmark not qualifying? :o I would have thought they'll be at about 5th-6th........but then again I haven't really heard much of a fuss about them....well apart from Tyron who seems to love them. I think Cyprus might pull off a bit of a "Belgium" and make it....but to a much lesser extent. I do think Ukraine will DNQ the more I think about it, Russia is just Russia but I'm not sure if Ukraine is as "almighty" I mean last year sure they qualified but in the final they were nowhere near the top ten....(and it was with a much better song imo) I feel sad for Netherlands, I can see the DNQ coming but I still have hope they'll make it somehow, it's such a sweet and cheerful song. Can you believe Sieneke is actually 18 years old!? She's a year younger than me! Edited May 27, 201015 yr by Sabrewulf

She's a year younger than me! Who knows, if any of the favourites fall I get the feeling it could be Denmark :o They might all manage to qualify with Georgia left out though. I love this Popbitch write up of them :kink: Denmark is sung by one of the few truly dislikable acts here, and despite the song sounding like at least five eighties faves glued together, we fancy their lack of charisma could turn people off. This is fast become the smart song to back not to qualify – and wouldn’t it burst their bubble if that happened! I'd really like Cyprus to qualify but they're a bit up against it here :drama: In semi 1 they might have done... I know, she looks about 40 in some photos  Poor girl.

Slovenia Hmm, it's either Denmark or Israel that'll miss out I think, so either one of us is going to get 9/10 or 10/10 :kink: Or we both may be completely off the mark, but I don't think there are many countries that will upset the predictions tonight, maybe Bulgaria might?
May 27, 201015 yr Author 8/10, what the hell at Croatia and Sweden missing out? Now I have to buy 30 copies of Chanee and N'Evergreen's album for my family and friends :snif:
May 28, 201015 yr Author Final predictions; 1. Armenia 2. Azerbaijan 3. Belgium 4. Germany 5. Turkey 6. Romania 7. Serbia 8. Denmark 9. Greece 10. Ireland 11. Israel 12. Iceland ------------------------------ 13. Norway 14. Ukraine 15. Georgia 16. Bosnia-Herzegovina 17. Albania 18. Portugal 19. Spain 20. Russia 21. Moldova 22. Cyprus 23. France 24. Belarus 25. United Kingdom 12th and upwards could win it :o I fail to see how the UK will be spared the bottom of the table but Belarus is also screaming last. I could be underrating Moldova, Portugal and Georgia, not sure exactly how any of them might do but I can't imagine them contending for the win. The only one I'm certain will be top 5 is Armenia, but this doesn't mean I think they'll win... Basically I'm stumped haha, I don't see how Safura can win from 1st with a crap vocal, I don't see how Lena's divisive voice will overcome the odds, Belgium are too early and next door but one from Cyprus. If Turkey had a later draw I'd say that they would win. Armenia don't particularly feel like a winner, but seeing as it's the only certain top 5, it could 6 or 7 its way to victory, so I'm calling it I think. I think it will be a night of shocks tomorrow.
May 28, 201015 yr It is a bit of a minefield, I basically agree with your table, but don't see Greece that high, and Norway will (sadly :kink:) be higher. Good top 3, but I'd rather turn it on it's head :kink:
May 28, 201015 yr Author Good top 3, but I'd rather turn it on it's head :kink: So would I, well I'd be happier if Lena won to be honest, but seeing Anna crash out with her 'unique' vocals, I don't see how the mockney Lena can possibly win :snif:
May 28, 201015 yr You may be right. I'm very nervous for the rehearsals today, Lena has to be spot on perfect, but still charming and unique. I mean, how many times do you think Bjork repeats exactly the same performance?

I mean, how many times do you think Bjork repeats exactly the same performance? Maybe her 'improvisation' vocal style isn't right for Eurovision, if the viewers are after polished, professional performers singing identikit's to the studio versions then there's plenty of choice, but Satellite sounds slightly different every time Lena sings it, so I'm not sure how it will go down :o
May 28, 201015 yr I know what you mean. It could potentially be awful in the second dress rehearsal (which the juries vote on) but perfect for the live final. Or the other way round. Basically, it's hard to say :(
May 28, 201015 yr I see we have the same winner then Rich! Quite a few things I'd swap around but good to see we have relatively similar predictions. ^_^ Although...I won't be at all surprised at 11.15pm tomorrow night to see we've both gone completely wrong yet again!

May 28, 201015 yr I really don't know who will win either, I don't think it will be Apricot Stone.....maybe I'm the only person who thinks her performance last night was bit lacking? :/ It could be Belgium....or Germany..........maybe it's just me....but I'm starting to like Cyprus a bit more than Belgium Somehow I'm getting a feeling that the winner could be a country nobody is looking at as a potential winner....... Exciting stuff! :o Edited May 28, 201015 yr by Sabrewulf
May 28, 201015 yr Romania? Their performance last night was really good and it's a pretty catchy tune.
