Some recent stuff:

Two interviews today:

2minute preview of the 7th Heaven remix of their second single (due out on 22nd May).

They come across very sweet and likable to me. Nice to hear another song 'Time Has Run Out' that they have co-written has made the album. In another interview they did I think Jodi mentioned it was a ballad. I get the impression it's that and NALS out of their co-writes that have made the album. Theres atleast 5 other songs that they co-wrote though. Nice to see they've been involved in the music making stage and that some of it has been deemed good enough for the album. But TBH I'm looking forwards to songs to the quality of Starlight & In Your Arms I'm not too bothered about co-writting at this stage.

I tried to find out what happened to wonderland's debut single, as most of the artists' debut releases have really big success. but i realised their single hasn't even charted! It only sold in total a few thousands copies in the UK! Is it true? Are they serious? After more than 2 years of promoting they only sold a few thousands copies? And now they think they r gonna release an album?? What do u think?
The single missed the top100 in the UK, I am not sure what number it got to though. They did keep promoting it after it flopped, but that didn't do much. Not really sure where they can go from here tbh, as they did quite alot of promo for it. The thing is I don't think people want a female version of Westlife, I mean considering how [relativly] badly Westlife's recent albums have done, I am not sure how many people want Westlife.
What do you expect from a girlband managed by Kian Egan???
We cant compare Westlife to Wonderland! Westlife have a main fanbase and i think Westlife are strong as a band they are levels in front from wonderland. But usually Debut releases, if you see the UK charts history, are charting high. . . They have flopped big time!
Was it not disqualified or something? I don't think it charted top 200 even though it was top 100 on itunes all week .
why disquilified?

I haven no idea, I just remember people saying at the time how it must have been disqualified, as it never reached the top 200 despite being in the itunes top 100 for a week. Sorry that is all I know.

Being a massive fan of both, I think Westlife and Wonderland are quite a distance in music, I've never heard a country vibe song by Westlife, nor up-tempos along the lines of In Your Arms or Starlight, the similarities come with the big ballads, but mainly because Westlife have recorded so many of them. The message in the lyrics are also very far apart. It's easy to say they are the same just because they are managed by Louis and Kian, but actually listening they really aren't that close. Not miles apart obviously, still pop music focussed around vocals, but the songs themselves are quite different.

It'll be interesting to see which way they go with the album, I'm hoping it's more in the direction of Starlight than Nothing Moves Me Anymore. Out of the songs we've heard this is my preference from fave to least:

1. Starlight

2. In Your Arms

3. Not A Love Song

4. Is It Just Me?

5. Need You Now

6. Nothing Moves Me Anymore.

I definitely prefer their up-tempos.

The song did not get DQ. It sold 1,234 in its first week.

I just remember someone saying it had not charted top 20. maybe I had confused .

The song did not get DQ. It sold 1,234 in its first week.

Thats not all that bad considering their 'frist week' actually only consisted of 2days since it was released on a friday.

Are those sales enough for top 200 and by any chance do you know what it sold on it's second week?

I really hope the Starlight campaign is handled a bit better, releasing on the sunday would be a big help.

They've just finished their 3day shoot for the 'Starlight' video which took place in L.A. & was directed by Nigel Dick. According to an interview it's got a roadtrip feel to it. Some pics that Jodi tweeted:
