I'm not being cocky, but 'Automatic Girl' is nowhere near their best song for me (I've heard 5). For me it'd go: 1. Gold Digger 2. Boys Will Be Boys 3. Automatic Girl 4. Redbull & Lipgloss 5. Je Suis Une Dolly :P Aled told me they have another about Leeds and London or something, but I've not heard it. :P

I based these odds entirely on the tracks - and this is a track that I like, but doesn't sound like BJSC fodder. I will be incredibly disappointed if it wins based on an apparently amazing video... Plus, 33/1 doesn't rule out the top 5 :P
May 13, 201015 yr Well, selfoverconfidence from Rontvia and Kopecka became quite a regular thing :lol: I can't think of any recent examples (a la post Headhunted-gate) where an entry of mine I've predicted to finish top ten hasn't :P iirc, I gave very low odds to Example and Caro Emerald, which in fact both exceeded my rock bottom expectations and Hafdis ended 14th which is pretty much where I predicted/expected it to.

It's fantastic! 33/1 does rule out a win pretty much though and I think it's in with a fairly strong chance.

I do love it, but I don't see a hypnotic slow orchestral track challenging for the win at all - particularly when up against opposition from very strong Buzzjack fodder tracks. If we're going for something which is a little out of the average BJSC'er's comfort zone, then I reckon it'd be Pretty Reckless ahead of anything else...

May 13, 201015 yr The oddest overprediction for me is Katie Melua. I mean, I love the track, but unless the mp3 is different from the actual video, SRSLY? 5/1? I don't see Buzzjack taking to it that much. I also think that Precious To Me is getting wayyyy overpredicted on the basis of it being Maria Haukaas Storeng. Dullfest much? But yeah, Makes Me Wanna Die is really the track to beat I think... I agree. My entry is not standard BJSC fodder, and to be honest if we had the usual Semi Finals and Finals I probably would not have entered it (I would have sent the much more BJSC friendly Lights - Saviour instead) for thinking that it would not qualify for the Final. But I entered it because quite frankly I think it has become my favourite record of 2010 to date. But then again I'm used to my entries being way over predicted to do well in relation to how they actually do in the contest. I certainly don't expect it to finish in the Top 15 because it is not BJSC friendly enough. As for your predictions, I personally reckon the Top 5 will be the Top 4 in your odds plus Stromae - Alors On Danse.
