Maria Lawson and Alesha Dixon are set to hit the UK with their debut singles in August.

 

Maria reached the top 10 of last years 'X Factor' and since leaving the show has been busy recording and writing for her debut solo album (released next month). The video for her stunning single 'Sleepwalking' (released 14th August) has just hit music channels so be sure to keep an eye out for it.

 

Alesha Dixon was a third of garage/RnB girl group 'Mis-Teeq', she released seven singles, two albums and went on to sell millions of records with them - they split in 2005. Alesha now has a solo deal and is set to release her debut solo single 'Lipstick' also in August. The video can now be seen on music channels.

 

So look out for these ladies coming to a record store near you soon...

I would LOVE to say Nerina Pallot, but her album is dropping sharpish, it's amazing as well it deserves to be a major hit. :(

Saw that Alesha Dixon song on The Hits - it's a bit of a mess really isn't it? It sounds like a Jennifer Ellison reject...

I love alesha dixon.. i always have done, i hope that this song can do well but it isn't anything special but the courus is good, I have heard that sabrina from mis-teeq is recording and album and she was a million times better than alesha and was the person that actually sang most of there songs considering that su-elise didn't really sing and allesha was the rapper, so if it is true that she is making an album i hope that she can be successful along with alesha.
