I still have an irrational love for Finland and Belarus which I can't quite explain :heehee: Other than those two, I adored Ukraine, Serbia & Montenegro, Sweden (the anal sex song! :heart:), Albania (:wub:), Macedonia and Belgium from that year... Speaking of anal sex songs actually, I've just noticed that Spain's entry that year translates as 'To Be Filled By You'. I do recall remembering he seemed just a tad camp!

I LOVED Belarus that year "Yoooo my pieerrr" :kink: Was devasted when they finished with like 10 points, and I also adored the Estonian tribal ladies. Think they lost out because Ruslana did tribal so much better :lol: That's right :lol: their vocals were awful but the chorus was catchy and breezy, I loved it! It had a folk cover of a Rasmus track on it :lol:

Malta 09. Bosnia-Herzegovina 10. Latvia 11. Finland :( 12. Slovakia 13. Russia 14. FYR Macedonia 15. Portugal 16. Poland 17. Estonia 8-13 could fall any way though. The great thing this year is it's so hard to know exactly what will qualify. Last year it was pretty simple to pick the qualifiers I thought. The jury could really spice things up! Excited! :dance:

Slovakia are my 7th favourites in this semi, so I really want them to get through, but I don't know if it'll get enough jury support to push it through. The public will desert it I think judging by it's draw and the fact the song doesn't really go anywhere. All the casual viewers I've asked to listen to the song described it as boring, lacklustre and uneventful :mellow: .

Israel 13. Netherlands 14. Lithuania 15. Cyprus 16. Slovenia 17. Switzerland I just remembered that Denmark have qualified so many times before with so many really bland entries, plus they'll pull in big votes from Norway and Sweden at least. I'm thinking Israel will be the big one that misses out now due to it's draw. Bulgaria might sneak in due to the fact it's very different to the rest of the field. If it does, hopefully it'll take Ukraine's place who I've placed in the top 10 following the qualifications of Bosnia and Russia last night.
May 26, 201015 yr The juries won't let Israel fall in the semis I don't think, it's too classy - even if I'm not a huge fan of it myself. Denmark, hopefully not but maybe Ireland, and Romania could be some of the favourites that fall if Georgia and Cyprus manage to make it in. Ukraine will definitely be top ten in the semi...
May 26, 201015 yr Author I don't know, Ireland are surrounded by uptempo numbers. Harel does overdo the ending of his song now judging by the rehearsal, plus it isn't in English, he's going on third and Israel don't have a great deal of neighbourly support as far as I know. Romania is a dodgy one, but if Nico & Vlad can qualify then I think any Romanian entry can :lol:

I have the same bet on them I think, but I'm not confident of them finishing top 4 anymore, although that said I haven't seen any of their rehearsals because I didn't want to spoil it - apparently it visually looks amazing.

Whether or not they'll make the top 4 is very up in the air I guess, I'm by no means certain about it. But with so many of the big favourites being disappointments, I'd definitely not rule it out. Having seen the rehearsal it is visually very impressive, and as catchy as ever. Ovi and Paula also have chemistry on stage and it's clear they're having fun: something incredibly lacking in Denmark right now.

May 28, 201015 yr Ireally do think Ireland will make the top 10 and i cant see Iceland winning although i wouldnt be disapointed if they did. Denmark i think could possibly be the dark horse and win on the night. I hope your prediction on Israel is correct or that they even come lower as i think its the worst song in the final. And i think your prediction on the UK and Spain could be spot on. Im hoping Niamh can pull of a powerful end to the irish song on the night, if she does i think it could add votes to the song.
