I was aware of that, yes. :P

Looks like it's shaping up to be a great on stage performance.....

I thought she said on the late late show she'd be wearing a "frock" though......don't they need to do rehearsals in what they'll be wearing on the night? Or is that on the second rehearsal? I would have thought they'd need to rehearse.... especially people wearing long dresses...

That's the dress rehearsal. :) It'll be a purple frock that will also cover the podium that she is standing on, so she'll look quite tall. :P

aaand on day 4, Croatia (my perosnal #1 this year) had the best rehearsal IMO.

Croatia's rehearsal was ridiculously good. Much better than everything else I've seen so far imo, and I'm still backing them for the win!

Day 6 is finish!

"Tomorrow will be a bit different as the contestants flying the flag of the UK, Germany, Spain, France and of course, Didrik Solli-Tangen from the Host Country of Norway will have their first chance on the stage of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest" - Eurovision.tv

I can't wait to see Didirk and Lena on stage, and I actually wonder how Jessy from France will prefor he's song. And I wonder if Josh's preforance looks as bad as in the national final

I'm not a huge fan of our entry, but I can say for definite that it will be far, far better than it was in the NF. Mainly because this will actually be an attempt at a proper performance rather than just a shoddy bow on a disaster of a studio-hosted NF...

@Jerick wow! that post with all the links! gargantuan amount of work. THNAK YOU :)

and i can't wait for Germany's and Spain's rehearsal. smth tells me that Norway will be very static... maybe a lot of dramatic lights and maybe some pyro... hmmmm... not that i think about it... i guess i wanna see Norway too lol

Oh

I hope Norway will use alot of pyro and lightning :kink: I hated Norway's background for 2009 :( but it didn't matter, we won anyway :P

One massive WTF at France's rehearsal  I think the song's great especially in the sun but it really doesn't translate well to the Eurovision stage/mass audience..., it's more like a bizarre nightclub PA that should only be seen by a couple of hundred people at most

As far as I can see from the rehearsals I've watched so far, it's Azerbaijan's to lose and Belgium could well do a Yohanna - I seriously see Tom Dice in the top ten at least, possibly top 5 or higher. It's another song that could do well in the current UK chart climate...it's a very Fyfe Dangerfield meets Joshua Radin sort of thing...

Israel I seriously can't see living up to the top 3 predictions by the bookies, Denmark and Germany seriously need to sort their performances out to be in with a big chance of doing any damage...Croatia I'm not sure about, I'm thinking somewhere in the region of 4th-7th for Lako Je Sve. I guess Ireland could challenge for an It's My Time sort of result but I can't see it winning, I'm not sure the televoters will be flocking to it in their droves.

I haven't watched many, but I do think Azerbaijan have been very good in rehearsal. Apart from Safura running back from the cat-walk to the main stage, and the way her dress was tied behind her earlier.

I still think Germany is the top contender to win this!!!

at the end it's a song contest! and Lena's song has the best respond around Europe so far...

Rybak did not had a "spectacular" performance but won becasue of the song! which was great, insainly catchy and different than the rest!

Satelitte reminds me a bit of Fairytale in that way!

love that the germans kept it simple wihout any gimicks or circus on stage...

but I serioslly can't see Belgium doing great or good even :S the song is just flat :S Cyprus is much much better IMO. too bad it's in semi2 :/

I've done good predicting the top positnions since 2007 (especially the winners :P ) and I cannot see anyone winning besides these 4 this year: Germany, Croatia, Azerbaijan or Slovakia! I can bet that this will be the top 4 in the final in mixed order of course ^_^

I really couldn't agree more with you here. Rybak hardly put in a perfect vocal in the final last year but the originality and his charisma and originality won it for him, which I'm really hoping will work for Lena too. I'd agree with you on 3 of your top 4 as well, but I don't think Slovakia will do quite that well personally.

Disagree about Belgium though, I think it's simple and understated but very charming and definitely stands out from all of the other heavily produced ballads. Sometimes less is more and I really think Belgium could be top 10 for the first time since 2003 this year.

you can't also dismiss the fact that he had "soviet" block behind him... i mean his win was overwhelming, but no way would post USSR be so behind him as much as they were if he hadn't been "one of them"

Norway played the politics game perfectly. if you can beat the system, use it. it didn't hurt that Alexander is so personable and charming. and so was the song. charming, cute, naive...

i kinda see Spain more in that league this year... not 'the sure winner' league, but the "air" around the song... i can't help but smile every time i hear the song. it makes me feel good... not overwhelmingly good like i can win over the world... just good... like you know sometimes you are in a good mood and smiling for absolutely no reason... (Daniel's washboard abs don't hurt too lol)
