Denmark 22nd :o Where's Peter to argue against that happening :heehee:

I still think it will go top ten myself but about 9th, and that's where I've always thought it would end up from the first time I heard it through to now.

I kind of think it will flop now, rehearsals have been horrendous, and it is still a VERY VERY bland song...

That all looks pretty accurate, but I don't think Ireland will do quite that well, although it would be nice

It's slightly wishful thinking I guess, but I want it to do really well, so I'm going to try blind faith :kink:

I think Russia is much more likely, but if either does, they are finishing bottom 5 (probably 3).
Both are awful for me. Although listening to the CD I did leave Russia on for the duration :o It's like a car crash, absolutely horrible but you look anyway :drama: Ukraine I left on for 30 seconds before almost falling asleep and having to switch off to save myself from slipping into a coma :drama: A far cry from the country that bought us Wild Dances, Shady Lady and the like :(

I hope you are wrong about Estonia and Georgia :drama:

and Norway is easy top 5 :kink:

Rehearsals have been bad for them, but prior performances were very good, so I'm going to go with the view that they're likely just saving themselves and just focusing on tech for the moment...

...and there don't seem to be that many who share your view on its blandness judging by most online polls :kink:

On another subject, I can't wait for the contest to be over just so I can finally laugh at Jerick's blind patriotism :smoke:

Hmm, I guess, but how much effort does it take to fake chemistry, or stay in tune :kink:

I've seen quite a few actually, I think ithas fan favourite written through it like a stick of rock though. It's this year's Je T'Adore/Vampires Are Alive...

Well at least we can agree on something :kink:

I can see a lot of that being true. I'm thinking Georgia will Yohanna it after their rehearsal, whereas I think Switzerland are doomed :( . Netherlands will be an interesting one to watch, could completely flop or could throw a massive spanner in the works for any of the pre-contest favourites.

Yes, Georgia are easy qualifiers. I can see Netherlands scraping into the final, and if they do, they will get a big reward from the more casual/drunk viewers on the Saturday night :hic:

Do you really see the juries abandoning Denmark en masse? I could see your point if it was still 100% public, but there's no way they'll finish bottom five...

Why would the juries vote for Denmark though? I guess it varies from jury to jury, but I think they are looking for art, originality and talent in the song and performance. Which I don't see much of in this one :kink:

I guess the 'juries will vote in their droves for dated schlager influenced pop' is our updated take on last year's argument of 'juries will vote in their droves for ballads', which as it happened they did (Hai France/UK). The fact that Charlotte Perrelli's Hero made the final by default thanks to jury votes in 2008 perhaps proves this correct, although I still can't explain how the hell Lose Control got to the final this way

Then again, the Melodifestivalen juries this year all did their best to avoid this type of music preferring to go for the more classy and contemporary Keep On Walking, so I wonder if it will be reflected on the whole in ESC.

Poor FYR Macedonia, just missing out for at least the third year in a row :kink:

I don't see the juries abandoning Denmark en masse - I think it shall be the public who abandon Denmark

Well I can see them scraping in, but if so it will be 100% diaspora. Terrible song, bad rehearsal.

Well let's hope so :kink:
