This thread may be useful the week after ESC, when some songs start rising ^_^

Satellite is on 6 charts

The Flood is on 3 charts

Allez Olla Ole is on 2 charts

This Is My Life is on 2 charts

I think all the others are only on 1 chart

So iTunes is saying a win for Germany, with France doing surprisingly well, given that it's on 2 charts that aren't France.

I wouldn't include The Flood in future updates  It's quite confusing...plus did she offer up The Flood or just her services for the UK?

I'm not quite sure, but "The Flood" is a minute too long, in it's current form.

And ok, I won't, just wanted to show people that the UK could have done well with it. Points from Switzerland & Norway.

On another note, Germany need to send "The Baseballs" next year, they seem to be doing well on iTunes everywhere. I've also seen Marina & The Diamonds on some iTunes charts, the UK need to send her!

Is the whole album available on UK iTunes with the songs available to download individually this year? My iTunes won't work for some reason eugh.
It's available but a few songs aren't available to download separately, although most of those are available as 'singles' elsewhere on iTunes. The only two songs that can't be purchased at all are Satellite and That Sounds Good To Me :(

"The Flood" ?

The Katie Melua song. Apparently, her people asked the BBC if they wanted Katie to enter for the UK, but they said no, so I posted it's positions to show how well the UK may have done.

How come every other country gets Satellite on their iTunes and we don't :( It had better be added! Even if it doesn't do as well as expected at ESC, I still think it could easily go top 100 in the UK, their 2009 entry did for god sake and that came 18th/19th?
'May have done' doesn't count in all honesty. We could bring in various of other examples in here too, it'd indeed only confuse people!

:o are u serious??? if that's true EFFING STUPID BBC!!! I love Katie's The Flood  one of my current fave songs

Great thread, thanks Jack! I think we may have to wait a week or two before any entries here :(

That's true, for all the old people saying "don't mention the war", we Eurovision fans in the UK have always had a close relationship with Germany. I was listening to No No Never on the train this morning - CHOOOOOOOOOOON

They're very underrated, they always do something different, yet it barely ever gets rewarded. In the noughties they sent (in order);

A novelty song, a big ballad, a pop/dance song, a big cheesy pop anthem, an acoustic mid-tempo, pop/rock, country, jazz, girlband pop and a dance/swing song - you can't accuse them of lacking variety  and now they're following it up with a quirky, yet contemporary pop song that reflects the current German music scene down to a tee. One of my favourite Eurovision countries to be honest and it's a shame they always flop :drama:

Compre that to Greece who went top ten over and over and over again with the same old song/genre

Greece probably think "If it ain't broken, don't fix it". They know the "Secret Combination"/"This Is Our Night" type songs will always perform well. If Germany keep flopping, they are trying something new every year until they eventually find something that works. I hope they come top 5 at least this year, and so then decide to delight us all with another quirky contemporary pop song, since they think we'll all love it again.

The entire 2010 album is on Irish iTunes for €12.99. But Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, the UK, Norway and Sweden are Album-Only tracks. All of the Album-Only tracks can be downloaded separately, and Anna's album is also on iTunes, as well as Tom's. :)

Oddly enough, Secret Combination and This Is Our Night were the two that broke their run for them! Far more Scandipop/American teen-pop influenced than the standard Greek laika pop fare they churn out...

Agreed. I was thinking more of Shake It/Die For You/My Number One/Yassou Maria etc...all very nice, but all essentially cut from the same cloth. This Is Our Night might as well have been a Swedish entry, it was nothing like what they usually send :o It had shades of Shady Lady too (pun only partially intended :drama:)

The less said about S.A.G.A.P.O. the better :puke:

You can tell that I'm a much more recent ESC fan compared to some people on here

I will do updates to this thread every day, but I won't post a position of a certain song if it hasn't moved. I'm wondering if "Satellite" could possibly get top 10 on the Swedish iTunes. Yesterday it was #13, today it's #11

Woah, back up a sec. You can buy Lena? :o And Josh? :o :o Got a link? I just want to see it for myself...

Lena. Apols, got it wrong about Josh, but all the others can be downloaded. Here's the link to the album on iTunes. It's all fancy!
