Can't believe Kylie never topped your chart :o She has been #1 on mine several times :) I really hope "All The Lovers" is a UK #1 for her, it's been too long.

Still not that crazy over the new Katy Perry track, its nice, but that's it.

Annemie is a great new entry :D So you do like the new Infernal then?

Great chart :)

Hey GD :D Going to comment on some newer tracks for a change.

1. Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers (9) (CR-9-1)

As I posted in prediction thread, this is by far Kylie's best "comeback" single since 'CGYOOMH'. I never liked 'Slow' and thought '2 Hearts' was a slightly lukewarm choice of first single. This is pure Kylie, back to her roots and still sounds great. However, I'm still unsure if Kylie's loyal fanbase will be loyal enough to send this straight to no. 1 when released.

3. Katy Perry feat Snoop Dogg - California Gurls (6) (CR-6-3)

I listened to a mash up on YouTube combining this with 'TiK Tok' which this song is clearly influenced from. That said, I think 'California Gurls' is pretty decent - don't see the track heading to no. 1 in my chart but top 5 isn't out of the equation.

8. Alexandra Burke feat Pitbull - All Night Long (15) (CR-40-32-37-40-49-OUT -49-32-15-8)

Due to enter my chart this weekend. I already like this more than 'Broken Heels' but 'Bad Boys' is likely to remain the bigger hit in my chart.

10. Katie Melua - The Flood (16) (CR-43-21-21-17-11-16-10)

I was interested in this song when it shot up to no. 1 in thisispop's chart. I listened to the track and was really impressed. Shame it's not really taken off in the UK - will be lucky to be top 30 in tomorrows chart. I expect Katie's album to fare better in its first week.

28. Jason DeRülo - Ridin’ Solo (23) (CR-47-OUT-43-23-23-28)

First time I heard this it was the album version which is heavily based around the string sample from 'Bittersweet Symphony' by The Verve. Then I heard the video version of the track and it sounded much better straight away. I still think the way Jason Derulo pronounces "solo" in the chorus sounds a bit funny (ie; Paolo change the P to an S = Saolo)

30. B.o.B. feat Bruno Mars - Nothin’ On You (21) (CR-41-35-33-29-14-21-30)

Another new entry in my upcoming chart. Expect this to be big - I really like this track. ^_^

34. Lady GaGa - Alejandro (30) (CR-45-24-37-32-23-23-OUT-40-34-30-34)

'Alejandro' is starting to make waves in some other European countries. Just like 'Telephone', once the music video premiers this track is going to shoot up iTunes.

42. Scissor Sisters - Fire With Fire (45) (CR-45-42)

When I first read a review about this song I was really fascinated. The Killers 'Human' + 10,000 dancefloors = Anthem? Then I heard the song and I think it's great. Admittedly it's not had the same impact 'IDFLD' had on me first time I heard that song, but I reckon this could be a big hit when released.

48. Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber - Eenie Meenie (NEW) (CR-48)

Don't worry Richard, I thought this wasn't that bad either. Yes, it's not good (I don't think it could be no matter how hard it tried) but it's ok.

50. Ke$ha - Love Is My Drug (Re-entry) (CR-24-19-19-OUT-50)

I thought it was called 'Your Love Is My Drug'? Anyways, this is a vast improvement on the horrid 'Blah Blah Blah' which failed to chart for me. Especially after 'TiK ToK' I thought it was a shocking choice for second single even if the Americans/Australians loved it.

39. MIA - XXXO (42) (CR-42-39)

42. Scissor Sisters - Fire With Fire (45) (CR-45-42)

Katie finally reaches the Top 10.

I'm hoping Robyn can start rising again, I'm really liking the video and new mix.

Great chart!

Thanks West. Yes! I couldn't have The Flood not going top 10, it's too good. I agree about the new Robyn mix too.

I know :drama: she's had quite a few #2's, the biggest being Wow which spent about 3 months in my top 5, but could never get past Love Song to get the #1 spot  I would love it to be a UK #1.

Yes I do like the new Infernal song, catchy :D

Thanks Hits;

1. I agree, although I wasn't wild over any of Spinning Around, CGYOOMH, Slow or 2 Hearts so this is my favourite lead from Kylie since 1997 and Some Kind Of Bliss. I always preferred the second singles of each other era - On A Night Like This, In Your Eyes, Red Blooded Woman and Wow

3. They're definitely incredibly similar

8. Broken Heels got to #15 in my chart, Bad Boys got to #5 but disappeared quickly so I do think I prefer All Night Long personally. I wasn't a fan of Hallelujah.

10. It's a new career best for her musically in my opinion.

28. I have the album and it's the same mix on both that and the video version. Maybe you heard a demo version with that sample in?

50. Ah yes, I put the wrong title down :drama: I liked Blah Blah Blah - it got to #14 in my chart iirc  It was no match for Tik Tok though...

Hey, my comments for this week:

1. Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers (9) (CR-9-1) Heard this on radio the other day. Quite good, a better comeback single than 2 Hearts anyway

6. Elin Lanto - Funeral (3) (CR-3-6) I wonder if this will be on the banlist

38. Infernal - Love Is All (NEW) (CR-38) Rather good, I'm really looking forward to the album now as their lead singles are never as good as the album, but I really like this track

43. Kyrah - Uh Oh (NEW) (CR-43) You like it then? I don't think this will become my next entry into BJSC anymore, Manipulated has become a huge favourite of mine again so I'll probably choose that

45. Hafdis Huld - Action Man (NEW) (CR-45) I saw the picture on Facebook. What a lovely dog :D I tried to do something a little quirky, so posted a picture of the album with the resident robin that always seems to be poking about our patio. Don't think she was very impressed by either the bird or her album lying on the ground though as she hasn't put it in the photo album  . Plus I'm not sure how it happened, but you got number 600 and something and I got #739

Eurovision album so far peaking at number 2... do you think it'll be your number one next week?

1. I love it, I wasn't such a fan of 2 Hearts...

6. Hopefully not, although I was half tempted to nominate it myself

43. I do like it, I wouldn't say love but I definitely like it!

45. Cool, yeah that's our new puppy :D Oh I didn't see your photo, I'll have a look now. That is strange, they must send them out randomly...

I wouldn't bet against it. If not though, it will be the first time ever that the compilation hasn't topped my chart :o Damn Elin Lanto and her brilliant album!

01 - Nor me, it peaked very low on my chart, can't remember where exactly without looking up but I'd guess about 32

06 - Me too, but I think I'll leave it off as aside from the ESC fans, not many people will have heard it.

45 - I think the photos only appear on the homepage when she puts them in her album... That's how I noticed yours anyway! I suppose I maybe should have given the patio a bit of a clean before posting :kink: . They must do, very strange way of doing it though.

It'll be album of the week for me this week, and most likely next, but it won't be the long runner it has been the past few years. I know! How dare she make an amazing album! :heehee:

1. It got to #5 on mine but disappeared within 2 or 3 weeks...I much preferred Wow. Without fail I always prefer the 2nd single of all of her eras to the first  On A Night Like This, In Your Eyes, Red Blooded Woman and Wow

6. Exactly - even so, it's verging on cheap what with the (justified) hype it's had!

45. I saw your photo! It is on her page, I guess she just hasn't got round to commenting yet. It did look as if the CD had been dropped on the ground by accident and the bird was about to walk over it or something

One of them was #1 album for me for 6 weeks! can't remember which year it was though...last year's compilation had 3 weeks at #1 iirc, this might get 1 or 2 weeks, not sure yet. Quite! Although I'm glad she did  Any news on Hera's album yet from bearecords? Apparently it's leaked but I can't find it

01 - I completely agree, although the third/fourth singles can sometimes better the first two. In My Arms and The One beat Wow for me, and I also loved Love At First Sight, but not as much as In Your Eyes. She's definitely produced her best material in the last decade

06 - I guess. If I was entering her, I'd send Good Stuff personally though. Funeral did need two listens to get into, but Good Stuff had me checking what the track name was within the first 10 seconds

45 - Actually it really does look like that happened. Oh dear :drama: . Hope she doesn't take offence :kink:

2009 had 5 weeks, 2008 had 6 but 2007 had just 2. 2010 will have 2 at the most I think. Not heard anything from Bearecords. I think she's in Oslo though as she's been uploading videos to her website from there. Hopefully I'll hear something from her the week after next. I'm not going to try and download the album though as I want to wait until I hear it on CD. I already know three tracks, plus the bonus mixes and all of those are great! :D So I'm hopeful it will be a superb album.

1. Never got that into In My Arms or The One although I liked them, I don't know why I loved Wow so much but I did   Love At First Sight was very good (and clearly an inspiration seeing as recent Ke$ha/Kyrah/Katy Perry singles sound like it) but I only bought that single for the Blue Monday/CGYOOMH mash up

6. Good Stuff is one of only two tracks on the album I sometimes skip, along with My Favourite Pair Of Jeans, although I like it but I love everything else on there! So if you entered it I probably would only give it a couple of points

45. I'm sure she won't, she wanted original and she got it! No point everyone sending the same old picture of them standing with the album

It's hardly a vintage year, neither was 2007 really aside from about 4 songs, so I can see why that one stalled for you. Ah right, fair enough - I would buy it if I could find it somewhere for a reasonable price. If not I guess I'll just have to not get it! I'm hardly a massive fan like you, although I did chart Someday, but not very high.

01 - I noticed it in Tik Tok, but not so much in Uh OH. I think I need to listen to LAFS again to see the resemblance. I've not heard the new Katy Perry single, but I am nominating her for the banlist anyway :kink: . The Blue Monday mashup was brilliant, and I also love another minogue mashup, Dead or Alive vs. Dannii Minogue I Begin To Spin Around

06 - Those are two of my faves :o . Hater I sometimes skip to listen to Funeral, and then I just let the album run.

45 - That's what I thought! Plus I'm not very photogenic, so a picture of me and the CD probably would have offended her more

I quite liked 2007 personally, but it was a very strong year for albums as a whole hence it's short stay at the top. If I get it and you still haven't got hold of it somehow I'll send you it in a zip file. I am a huge fan so £20ish isn't a problem for me (well it is as I have no money :kink: but it is something I wouldn't mind paying £20 for), I can understand how it would be a lot for somebody who doesn't like her music quite as much

1. I only say that because Uh Oh sounds like a cheap Tik Tok  I agree about Dannii, I also loved her Madonna mashup, Don't Wanna Lose This Groove :D

6. Hater's not amazing either in the context of the rest of it. If I had to rank it;

1. Funeral - 10/10

2. Give It All Up - 9.5/10

3. Singing Goodbye - 9.5/10

4. Tickles - 9/10

-----------------------

5. Love Made Me Stupid - 8.5/10

6. Toy Boy - 8.5/10

7. Doctor Doctor - 8.5/10

8. Alien - 8.5/10

-----------------------

9. Hater - 8/10

10. Good Stuff - 8/10

11. My Favourite Pair Of Jeans - 8/10

I have few albums where I rank everything 8/10 or higher :o

45. Same here, which is why I avoided one of me  everyone likes puppies though right? :heehee: The album's massively growing on me actually. I don't think any of the songs are good enough to make my singles chart by their own right (apart from the singles that is) but all of the melodies are jumping out at me a lot more now :D

Oh ok thanks, I appreciate it :D Yeah, I paid about £17 for Lena's album but I wouldn't pay £20 for somebody I like less.

01 - Yeah that was good also, I preferred it to Dannii's original.

06 - Hmm, my rank:

01 - Good Stuff 10/10

02 - Funeral 10/10

03 - Love Made Me Stupid 10/10

04 - Doctor Doctor 9/10

05 - My Favourite Pair Of Jeans 9/10

----

Tickles 8/10

Singing Goodbye 8/10

Toy Boy 7.5/10

----

Give It All Up 7/10

Alien 7/10

Hater 6.5/10

So you like the album more than me :o

45 - They do! Especially going by how many likes and comments you got :D. Her album is rather strong, but yeah none of the album tracks would have made my chart. I think it could have done with a couple of tracks less though.

1. Same here, the original was only just above average really...

6. Clearly :o I adore Give It All Up, the production is so bassy and retro  much like the production on Alicia Keys' Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart! :D As much as I like it Tickles really is a bizarre choice of single though when Funeral was available

45. I saw that  was nice! I know what you mean, I had a hard time initially remembering some of the songs but they're sinking in now. I like Daisy - I can't see it charting but for me but it's at least an 8.5/10.

06 - Tickles is a very strange choice, hopefully Funeral will be next, if she gets the chance to release another single from the album.

45 - I liked one of the album tracks more than the rest on first listen, but can't remember which it was. Might have been Daisy, or it could have been Synchronised Swimmers which I think was actually a single

6. Yep, although she never has any hits with them anyway. She's Sweden's very own 'flopstar with an amazing album' a la Rachel Stevens/Sophie Ellis-Bextor :drama:

45. Synchronised Swimmers was another good one, I like Oldest Friend too on reflection, and I Almost Know A Criminal. The rest still need to grow.

06 - Sophie Ellis-Bextor :( I always feel so sorry for her when she flops as she is such a great talent. None of her songs are autotuned yet most of the stuff that charts above her is totally autotuned :( . Rachel Stevens' last album came around a few years too early but was amazing

45 - I need to give it another listen as I can't recall Oldest Friend at all  .

6. Agreed, it's almost as bad as The Flood by Katie Melua entering (and probably peaking) at #35 yesterday when most of the stuff above it is crap  :( Rachel's album was fantastic! We got the pop sound of 2009 in 2005

45. Oh dear :heehee: I only started remembering some of the melodies on about the 5th or 6th listen...on most albums I'd have given up by this point, but seeing as I told Hafdis it was a 'great album' I thought I'd better persist :kink:

06 - 35? Oh dear :( She's bringing it out physically this week ( :cheer: ) so hopefully it'll give it a push. Doubt it will though :(

45 - I should too, I think I said it was amazing :kink:

6. I bought the album today, it's pretty bland otherwise apart from a couple of songs - standard Melua-fare really, don't know why I expected anything different  The Flood was clearly a one off!

45. Yes I saw  well nobody's going to post and say 'here's my dog chewing the album to shreds because it's crap'
