Interesting how you've suddenly started to really like this song. Only a fortnight ago you posted in thisispop's chart thread how you couldn't get into the song. I really don't know how as for me this was one of those "instant" songs which I really like from the first listen. It's all about when the track picks up pace and goes uptempo - very surprising twist in a well crafted ballad.

Yes I agree, it's shocking :/ Although I guess the RATM campaign was engineered more to the UK than Ireland so beating him there would just have been a nice side effect - in fact I'm surprised it had any impact whatsoever!

 

I like a few of the more uptempo ones like Lovin' Each Day and Life Is A Rollercoaster but I'm not a fan of any of his many, many...faux country ballads that all seemed to peak at either #2 or #3 in the UK charts...

'What A Wonderful World' had a "brilliant" chart run: 01-01-01-06-18-34-OUT :lol:

 

'Believe Again', on the other hand, during its time in the top 20 alone had: 05-04-04-02-02-02-04-07-11-17-14-20.

 

I remember reading once that Ronan got to no. 2 with a song called 'I Hope You Dance' which had completely gone off my radar and I couldn't remember how it went at all. After one listen, I still didn't know how it went. :P (ie; such a non-song)
