'What A Wonderful World' had a "brilliant" chart run: 01-01-01-06-18-34-OUT

'Believe Again', on the other hand, during its time in the top 20 alone had: 05-04-04-02-02-02-04-07-11-17-14-20.

I remember reading once that Ronan got to no. 2 with a song called 'I Hope You Dance' which had completely gone off my radar and I couldn't remember how it went at all. After one listen, I still didn't know how it went. :P (ie; such a non-song)

Oh dear  almost as good as its UK chart run - 1-2-14-whatever...:drama:

I Hope You Dance was so boring. I vaguely recall it because I remember the original country version by Lee Ann Womack which also charted here in the top 40 once iirc. The Long Goodbye, She Believes In Me, The Way You Make Me Feel and a few others were similarly bland and forgettable...

01 (--) B.o.B. feat. Bruno Mars - Nothin' On You (01) [1 wk] Are you a fan of "Airplanes"?

I've not heard 'Airplanes' but I'm aware that there's two different versions - one of which features Eminem. Is it any good? I'll have to check it out on YouTube.

06 (--) Keane feat. K'naan - Stop For A Minute (06) [1 wk] Love this now, K'naan is one of the year's great new discoveries :D

This is also Keane's highest charting single since 'Is It Any Wonder' in 2006. 'Spiralling' managed #9 for me back in 2008. As for K'naan, I discovered his track 'Wavin' Flag' earlier this year thanks to the Canadian singles chart. Now it looks set to become a massive international hit thanks to Coca Cola and the World Cup. ^_^

08 (04) Roll Deep feat. Jodie Connor - Good Times (06-06-04-08) [4 wks] Still not old for me, guilty pleasure :kink:

'Good Times' is a great dance track although, as I've mentioned over the last couple of weeks, that second verse really could've done with another take just to make it sound a bit more...professional? :D

10 (05) Plan B - She Said (01-01-02-02-02-03-05-10) [8 wks] This has got old less quickly for me than SFG

I could never understand why Scouting For Girls went to no. 1 in the first place. It's hardly a signature tune and it isn't exactly great either (it's good enough for what it is but still). 'She Said', on the other hand, is excellent. The fact it managed to spend six weeks in the top 5 whilst SFG were tumbling down shows which song has staying power. Once again, proof if ever needed that getting to no. 1 is worthless if the song can't back it up with a few weeks at no. 1, or a decent chart run with longterm healthy sales. 'This Ain't A Love Song', 'In My Head' and even 'Once' have proven to be complete and utter non-no. 1s thnaks to the first week hype but the second week plummet.
