They've always loved him and been proud of him - so no change there. I liked the pic of the family (minus Cyrus) from the O2 where Avril had her head on his shoulder. Lets face it, none of us stop loving our kids.

With famous names from the world of rock, pop and classical on the bill, the Summer Concert Series at Mercedes- Benz World promises to be a weekend to remember.

The two-day outdoor event, running from July 3-4, will be split into a pop day and a classical day, with the Weybridge venue welcoming Will Young, Myleene Klass, Escala and many more to its specially erected stage.

The top star will be Young, with the former Pop Idol headlining Saturday night.

Since becoming a household name in 2002, he has sold more than eight million albums worldwide and topped the charts with songs like Light My Fire and Leave Right Now.

Young is joined on the bill by girl group The Saturdays.

The sassy quintet became one of the UK’s most successful girl groups when their 2008 debut album, Chasing Lights, went platinum and racked up five hit singles.

Indie-pop Londoners Scouting for Girls, still buzzing from a number one single earlier this year, will also be aiming to get the crowd singing. Alexandra Burke, 2008’s X-Factor winner, will be belting out some tunes to the outdoor crowd.

For those with a taste for classical music, opera star Russell Watson will headline Sunday night’s concert.

Watson got his breakthrough when he sang live at Old Trafford before a Manchester United game in 1999.

He then broke world records with sales of his debut album and is still one of Britain’s best known classical performers.

Darius Campbell, recent winner of Popstar to Opera-star, will be taking to the stage too and Myleene Klass, the classical pianist and TV presenter, will also be performing.

Mercedes-Benz World Summer Concert Series, Brooklands Drive, Weybridge, July 3-4, 5pm, £40. Call 0844 463 1875 or visit ticketmaster.co.uk

What price were the tickets before Meg, I can't remember? If the weather stays like this it should be a really good night. Wish I could have made it. Sue
cant go anyhow, OH is steward training - I said I didnt want to go at the high price..and the walk to the train after the show - they said parking was poor.
The hotel very close to the site was fully booked when I looked into it and that was early on. Sue

There are others though, Sue - if you are interested. You'd get to meet us again as well

I dare not push my luck with husband as he's already not too keen about Glasgow, and I'm picking my moment to mention Crewe. Sue

Only a few days now - it'll be interesting to hear what he sings. Wouldn't it be lovely if he sang something new?

It certainly would Meg, but given the classical nature of the event, I think it's likely he'll perform things we've already seem from him. Have a great time and take lots of pics though!

Thanks for the info TT

I'd love to see Will live, but that would mean a hotel and it's just typical for me that my money's tied up doing other things just now :( 2 for 1 at £30 sounds just too good to miss out on though to see D, I'll have to see whether the "boss" fancy's a trip down :naughty:

Really good of you to let us know TT, it's much appreciated :)

Editing to say boss lady says no :( I'm a bit upset with her, but I know she's right, as the petrol would be nearly twice as much as the tickets. Maybe something a little closer will occur soon.
