Even with over 100 years of Christmas experiences under its belt Snow White has never been performed at the King’s Theatre so this year’s pantomime will be like no other King’s pantomime you have ever have seen before – in fact, you will never have seen it before! With a brand new script by Eric Potts, stunning new costumes, brand new sets and a stellar cast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has all the elements to make this the most wonderful and magical pantomime in Scotland. This year, the production is once again sponsored by Robinsons. The nation’s favourite family soft drink is supporting a national celebration of pantomime up and down the country and is delighted to be part of maintaining the traditional family experience at the King’s Theatre.

Does anyone know yet whether D has confirmed which performances he will be doing?

More importantly, which ones he will not be on stage? (Important to people booking seats)

Talented youngsters are being offered the chance to star alongside singer Darius Campbell in one of Glasgow’s biggest pantos.

Actor Gerard Kelly launched the hunt to find up to 30 young performers to appear in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at the King’s Theatre this Christmas, with auditions to be held next month.

Kelly, who will play hapless hero Muddles as he notches up his 21st King’s panto, said recruits do not need to have a lot of stage experience.

“Obviously it would help if they could dance a bit but they can be taught,” he said. “There’s a real cute factor. We used kids last year and the energy they brought to the show was just fantastic.”

The talent search is being staged by the sponsors of the show, drink makers Robinsons, and performers must be aged between six and 16.

Auditions will be at the theatre on Sunday, September 26, from 10am-2pm. You must register at www.robinsonssearch forastar.com

Snow White runs from December 3 until January 9. Jenna Brook and David Chambers, play Snow White and Prince Charming.

It's the last sentence that's confusing because up till then there is no mention of David Chambers. Makes me wonder if Darius is sharing the role after all. Really don't want to go all the way up to Glasgow if he isn't appearing. Sue
Anyone near enough to find out if David is playing Dandine( or whatever his name is)?

I hope Darius gets to show off some of his skill with comic timing which we've seen in MT. They'd be missing a trick if he's just the straight man for Gerard Kelly and/or David Chambers.

There was a picture and a little article in this week's Glaswegian about the children's auditions but the only mention of Darius was "starring Gerard Kelly and Darius Campbell"
