November 25, 201014 yr Author Wonder how rehearsals are going? What date does it actually start, I've forgotten, is it 4th December? Sue Friday 03 December 2010 to Sunday 09 January 2011 Not long to go!
November 26, 201014 yr mm, seems to have come round so quick, lets hope things will go smoother - and the powers that b are prepared
November 26, 201014 yr Thanks. Nice that they included Scotland for a change. I do like that individual picture with the dogs..................... very masterful. In saying that,I wish they'd given him a more princely tunic instead of a plain black shirt. Did fairy tale princes wear watches though? I don't think the mistake in the show's title will be a problem. They seem to have stopped advertising Snow White here.
November 27, 201014 yr This was on Darius' facebook. Claire Clint haha....these status updates have gave me a good giggle!!!! Forget everything else, thermals are the way to go! I've frozen my ass off every night at panto rehearsals so far but got thermals today and was roasty toasty :) Kids have missed you, great the way you spend so much time with them!!!!! It sounds as though he's happy doing rehearsals. It's not surprising that he gets on well with the little ones.

November 27, 201014 yr Hope the trains aren't affected by this cold weather snap  That's exactly what I was thinking! Glad Darius seems to be enjoying himself. Bet it's a really good show. Sue

December 1, 201014 yr thanks, lovely - can listen to darius talk like that forever - he always sounds more scottish on stv lol
December 1, 201014 yr It's all very well singing opera in the O2 Arena, as Darius Campbell was earlier this year. Back in his hometown of Glasgow facing the prospect of making your pantomime debut at the grand old lady of Scottish pantomime, the King's Theatre, is a very different proposition. And as if that wasn't difficult enough by itself, Darius has to deal with the loss of the King's undoubted star, Gerard Kelly, who died suddenly earlier this year just before rehearsals were due to begin, But Darius is something of a seasoned pro these days and in this interview with Gill Harvey for stv.tv, (recorded before Kelly's untimely demise) he is looking forward to taking the lead role in Snow White this year. Well not the lead role; he's not playing Snow White. That's going to be a local girl called Julie Matheson. But he is playing the handsome prince who comes along to rescue her from the enchantments of the wicked witch and all that "Mirror, Mirror" stuff. And he's looking forward to it. As a platinum-selling singer-songwriter, author and actor in his own right he certanly has the core skills. And he has, by his own admission been on a good run. And, as he told stv.tv's Gill Harvey, he has been taking advice from the very gest sources. “I spoke with Tony Bennett this year", he revealed "and I got his advice for this show, The History of the Big Bands that I’m doing, and I said ‘what’s the biggest piece of advice you can give me?’ And he said: ‘just remember, Darius, you’re always there to serve the audience’. He said ‘sing your heart out every time you sing.’" Campbell added: “I’ve been really lucky in that I haven’t just had one year or two years, I’ve had people’s support and hopefully I’ve reciprocated in wanting to entertain them in different ways – as a singer, as a songwriter, as an actor. It’s my tenth year - 2010 has been a really special one.” Darius' Prince Charming will be appearing in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow in December and January. Find out more about the performer and his tour dates from his official site dariusmusic.com This has the same video but the write up above. http://entertainment.stv.tv/onstage/213073...-in-snow-white/
December 1, 201014 yr Unless we get a miracle thaw within the next 12 hours, I'm snowed in here and I'm not going to be able to go up to Glasgow to see D :( I'm losing well over a hundred pounds with hotel, travel and panto ticket, but I'm much more gutted not to be seeing D in another genre of the entertainment industry
December 1, 201014 yr That's awful, Paul. I hope you find a way. Are you flying, driving or training?
December 1, 201014 yr thats awful, I have been hoping against hope things wouldnt conspire to stop people getting to Glasgow! this weather has come just at the wrong time
December 1, 201014 yr Thanks Meg, that was a lovely little video. So sorry Paul that you're snowed in, you must be so frustrated. I don't think any of us thought that winter would start so early, I certainly didn't, and now I'm crosssing my fingers for the 17th. Where are you flying from Meg? On the news it said Gatwick airport is closed today and they are having trouble at Heathrow. When are your tickets booked for, have things time to clear? Sue
