December 1, 201014 yr There is a press/media show on Thursday I think it is, as I remember them giving away tickets at the launch :) You might get money back for your hotel & etc cause of the snow as it's not your fault you can't use them x
December 1, 201014 yr Thanks for your words peeps! Sharon I Booked advance train and 1 of the 2 days hotel was advance so no chance of a refund there, (think I can get 1 day back though). I can't think that the theatre will refund either, but I'll try and contact them to see. At very least, I hope they'd allow a Darius fan in to see the show in my seat. Just really wish I could make it, oh well, next time maybe.
December 2, 201014 yr Aww oh nooooooo what a shame that you cant go and se Darius now Paul......thats so Gutting!! :( ............Hate this Bloody snow argh!!!! :( Hope Meg and everyone else who is stillhoping to go can still make it :)
December 2, 201014 yr Paul, could you see if the train could be transferred until tomorrow - just in case it's any better? We have enough snow for the schools to be closed now.
December 2, 201014 yr Paul, could you see if the train could be transferred until tomorrow - just in case it's any better? We have enough snow for the schools to be closed now. I'd pay for another ticket if I thought it would be ok Meg, but I'm worried about getting back on the Saturday, as I'm working Saturday from 6pm. My train would have got me back around 2.30pmish, but with this snow and the related delays, I just can't risk it :( If I could have got to the train station today I probably would have gone anyway, even with the risk of a delay coming back. The good thing is it seems to be improving over the weekend, so hopefully you'll have no worries getting there on Wednesday.
December 2, 201014 yr Like you, my main worry is not getting back. It would not be good for Mum. Awful isn't it? It'd be worth a try for a refund though Paul. Maybe you can go another time. I just never even thought of the weather being this bad this early in winter Edited December 2, 201014 yr by megham
December 2, 201014 yr Is there a darius fan in Glasgow who could use my single ticket? I can't exchange or refund it but it's possible someone could collect it from the box office(but this hasn't been gauranteed). Anyone I know as a Darius fan want to try?
December 2, 201014 yr I hope someone does, Paul Nice video of Darius talking about Snow White. I don't mean to make it worse, Paul. I may be joining you in disappointment next week http://video.stv.tv/?bcpid=37654293001&...id=693890327001

December 2, 201014 yr I so hope I can make it as well Paul. http://www.theglaswegian.co.uk/entertainme...02692-22756893/ Darius Campbell To Star As Snow White Debuts At King's Theatre Dec 2 2010 SNOW WHITE And The Seven Dwarfs is this year's Christmas panto at the King's Theatre. With a star-studded cast, it is the first time Snow White has been performed at the theatre (oh yes it is!). Playing Prince Charming is singing sensation Darius Campbell. After gaining fame in Pop Idol, he took on roles in London's West End and won ITV's Popstar to Operastar. This led to him being the youngest man ever to portray the toreador Escamillio in the opera Carmen. Now Darius is coming home to Glasgow, but with some provisos. He said:"I wanted seven real dwarfs, I wanted to sing Michael Buble songs and I told them this Prince Charming doesn't wear tights, he wears a kilt. "They said,'yes', which was great because it means I'm coming home for Christmas." He is supported by Barbara Rafferty, of Rab C Nesbitt fame, as the wicked Queen, Gavin Mitchell as the jester and comedian Steven McNicoll as the henchman. Snow White runs from December 3 to January 9. Tickets cost from £11 to £27.50. You can book by calling 0844 8717 648.
December 2, 201014 yr That was a lovely video, thanks Meg. When I booked my tickets I remember the girl at the theatre said I was brave going all the way to Glasgow in December, but for some reason I just thought it would be very cold, I didn't think there would be snow. I must be very naive! Sue
December 2, 201014 yr I never even thought about snow - it's been too warm for it - until it was here, It's now sludge which will be ice by morning.
December 2, 201014 yr They've changed my flight - it looks like it'll be leaving an hour earlier. Not sure i can deal with Mum and get her ready in time to catch it.
December 3, 201014 yr shame it wasn't the flight back they changed to an hour earlier. At least Gatwick is open now.
December 3, 201014 yr Author They've changed my flight - it looks like it'll be leaving an hour earlier. Not sure i can deal with Mum and get her ready in time to catch it. I'd better make sure I set my alarm clock...that means I'm up an hour earlier too!
December 3, 201014 yr Pam and Nina will be going on the 11th even if I don't so we will get a report. I've found I'm Heathrow not Gatwick - Heathrow is fine at the moment.
December 4, 201014 yr Sorry you weren't able to get there, Paul. I'm gutted for you. There's a good thaw on in Glasgow just now. Fingers crossed it doesn't freeze over. I've been stuck indoors most of this week. I've been tending a twisted/ sprained ankle. Nothing broken, but very painful. When I fell, my left hand side scraped along the road so I also had some grazes and cuts on my forehead, cheeks, hand and knees, basically wherever bones made contact. Most of the latter have healed up except a deeper scrape on the knuckle of my pinkie. I think I must have left a tiny piece of dirt or grit in the wound and it was quite infected. It's respondig to silver plasters now. All I've seen about the show is a couple of tweets, both saying the panto was brilliant and Darius was amazing.
