He couldn't get transport back but he should have thought about that possibility.

In good times it's fine to do the round trip to London but these were unprecedented times, and his place was to be in Glasgow to fulfil his contract to the theatre and to the people of Glasgow. Only exceptional and urgent circumstances can mediate that.

As we all know Darius works his socks off and has never ever let anyone down, if anything he has always given more than ever expected obviously circumstances were beyond his control yesterday. I'm sure the majority if not all of people who were at panto yesterday will of enjoyed it.
We already know that the weather was the cause of the delay, and deep down we all know how deeply sorry Darius will be for what has happened even though it wasn't his fault. I am sure when he gets chance he will write some sort of apology. I guess at the moment he has so much going like most people sometimes there are not enough hours in the day to get everything we want to do done.

With all due respect Jan, Darius has a pantomime contract going on at the moment and unless it was a matter of life and limb he shouldn't have been out of Glasgow with the weather conditions we have had in Glasgow this week. Last night people in Glasgow made their way to The Kings in -11 degrees temperatures. There was very little public transport available all day, never mind at that time of night, and they would have gone expecting to see Darius, if not only to see Darius. An apology is the least they were due.

I love D to bits, but I too am disappointed in him for this(feel like a mum wanting her son to show his best at all times)

he did say he wasnt supposed to leave London while doing west end shows - so I would have thought the theatre would have stipulated likewise especially in this weather, I thought of people like Meg - who could have been trying to get there, only to find he wasnt appearing, there was no notice beforehand saying he had that performance off. I just feel a little embarrassed for D as it is his home town..and this is the first time he has seemingly let people down

.......and what of those wondering if they should go to Stirling for Hogmanay to see him and probably incur the cost of a hotel? They must be in two minds now.

He was at Glasgow airport . At least one flight to London had already been cancelled. He should have left the terminal and got a taxi straight back to Glasgow.

I forgive him, on the positive side, a lot of people probably couldnt get there either, it was really sparse in an earlier performance - and -it gave the understudy a go - darius understudies dont usually get a turn. just someone make sure he doesnt leave glasgow again, just reading tweets from people, saying they are tieing roasting tins to their feet to get to the Kings to see darius in Theatre earlier tonight..

If Stirling is cancelled it will be because of bad weather NOT because of Darius.

Darius must have had a very good reason to go to London, he would not have left Glasgow unless it was important. If the flights were ok out of Glasgow you would expect them to be ok flying back less than 24 hours later and I have no doubts he would have tried his hardest to get back. He would never want to let anyone down. Thousands of people have been caught out by the weather this week, Darius was one of them sadly but he can't control the weather.

Keith Jack is coming to Torquay mid next year playing the lead in Joseph. A good voice much better than Craig ? also from Glasgow who played the lead on tour this year which I also saw in Torquay but who was a weak joseph vocally.
