January 4, 201114 yr So glad you finally got to see the show Paul. All that way and no Darius would have been dreadful. Hope Darius recovers quickly. Sue
January 4, 201114 yr I hope Darius is ok for the last proformance next Sunday as I am booking tickets for it this week. I was going to go yesarday but I then headed into town for shopping instead for my friends birthday.
January 5, 201114 yr Thanks peeps :) Fingers crossed for you Claire. He's pretty resilient and I'd be very surprised if he wasn't there for the last show. Has anyone heard how he's doing?
January 8, 201114 yr I tried to book tickets last night but there system was down so need to go to box office this afternoon to see if I can get some for tomorrow
January 8, 201114 yr Whoooo!! Tickets are booked! Going tomorrow for 5pm show sitting in the Stalls closet I could get to nearest the stage lol but right up the back me and my mum are going
January 8, 201114 yr I am not sure I will get to meet him afterwards or not depending on what time it is finished and what weather is like
January 10, 201114 yr Hiya everyone The panto was fab :) I really enjoyed it. Darius great from start to finish, I loved the ghost buster part lol and also the Gold digger song and I also liked the dancing he was doing to it lol. The whole cast where great and I loved the tribute that they did to Gerard Kelly everyone in the hall were all filling up when Gavin Mitchell was talking about Kelly and how he had not though he could have taken on such a role that was just made for Kelly. I though the wee girl behind me was going to exploded with excitement lol I didn't have time to go to the Stage door because my Brother works in town and had just finished as we were leaving the Kings. But I just want to say Darius well done you were fab :)
January 10, 201114 yr I'm so glad you got to see him, Claire. You never know if he's ever going to do a 2nd one.
January 12, 201114 yr I'm so glad you got to see Snow White, Claire. I'm glad I saw it once, even in a seat with a restricted view.
January 12, 201114 yr I hated the upper gallery for HOTBB, although it had been refurbished and the seats were comfortable. Again it had the advantage that I could see all the band members but I wasn't that interested in the instrumentals. Next time I'll book earlier. That said, if it was a choice of a seat in the upper gallery or the dreaded gods ( the Gallery) or not at all, I'd grin and bear either level, but only for Darius! January 12, 201114 yr If it's too high or step, I just couldn't do it. One place I booked, I just couldn't walk down to my seat as it was so steep, I ended up sitting on the steps.
January 12, 201114 yr It's virtually impossible to tell just from the seatplans online. I tend to play safe and book the stalls. It happened to my friend once in London. The tickets in the circle for Whistle Down The Wind had been pre-booked as gifts . My friend has a touch of vertigo. She took a peep into the auditorium. She couldn't even step through the entrance to the circle, she was so terrified. She insisted that I watch the show but I really didn't enjoy it, wondering how she was getting on, what she was doing etc. I didn't like the fact the story had been so americanised but I don't think I was in the right frame of mind to judge the show.
January 12, 201114 yr No, I'd have been with your friend. I can't explain the feeling and I can't do anything about it. Terrifying isn't enough.
