Among the thousands of people unable to get to work yesterday was pantomime star Darius Campbell, 30.

 

His role as The Prince in Snow White was taken by understudy Nicholas Munro-Clark after Darius failed to get to the King’s Theatre in Glasgow.

Considering he has a flat in central Glasgow (as I read in an article) it seems odd that he couldn't get in.

The previous day was his day off.....maybe he did go to London and his flight back, like Meg's, was cancelled.

He did go to London, someone on Facebook said that he was on their flight! Maybe he had an urgent call-back for an audition!! :D He obviously got stranded... so sad for all the people hoping to see him in the pantomime :(

A lot of the people would only have gone because he was in it. I bet they felt let down.

I still think an apology was due from Darius himself. I'm disappointed in him.

Unless his trip to London was something he had to do very urgently, chancing it under such unpredictable weather, is unforgivable. Even if his reason for going was valid, his (in)actions since have let him down.

Do flights to Glasgow go out of Terminal 5? Darius was seen grabbing something to eat there.

 

I haven't gone through Heathrow since it opened.

I was from terminal 1. I think Easy Jet is 3 and BA is 5. The plane to Glasgow which wasn't cancelled was the BA one from terminal 5 due to land in Glasgow at 10:05 - according to their live feed (Heathrow's) it did.

Don't flights from LA land at Terminal 5 ?

No idea. Different airlines seem to land at different terminals.

I can't believe that Darius isn't really upset that he didn't make the performance. I'm sure he must have had a valid reason for going to London. Sue

And people who bought tickets to see him had a valid reason to expect him to be there. Would you back one of your children to let so many people down when they had done nothing to deserve it?
