Well Im glad its not the Krankies although I have nothing against them and they live down here in Torquay.

Darius and the Krankies, now there would be an height difference!

Also, if a Snow White is needed, iam available, no problemo

We have a lovely small theatre here completely refurbished (I believe it is listed)and the Krankies are appearing on a summer show here but dont think they are the headliners.we have a similar theatre in Torquay completely refurshied from a church, it is lovely.
What a coincidence, just found out Gareth is also doing Snow White but in Wokingham. A nice little earner over x-mas for both boys.
The Krankies are actually doing the panto at Clyde Auditorium with John Barrowman! The Pavilion has Jim Davidson & Colin & Justin in theirs so I can see why the kings is going for a well known name! I know Gerard Kelly usual does the kings one along with some Karen Dunbar! x
I wonder who'll end up doing it with him? With that amount of competition it would make sense to have someone starring who will attract people.

I think Snow White will need to be a well-known 'name' in order to compete with the other local pantos. After all, her

part is the mainstay of the show whereas the Prince has a relatively small role.

The roles played by John Barrowman as Aladdin, and Jim Davidson as Robin Hood, are both meatier and more extensive

in stage appearance time. Also the first is backed up by the Krankies, and the second by Colin and Justin. I fear that D

will become the back-up artist when Snow White is cast.

Unless Kings has a reliable reputation for a more family friendly presentation, I think the 3000 seats SECC will prove the

more popular with its special 3D effects.....what child could resist wearing 'magic' spectacles and rubbing the lamp to

summon the genie?

Darius role will be 'meatier'. We don't know the script yet they'll not underplay Darius.

they are doing the 3D aladin then, thats the one we had with Shane Richie, with the specs - it was very good, far better than we expected, especially the 3D.

gareth is doing the Prince in Snowwhite at Woking is he not?

Yes, we found out yesterday, he is doing the full run. Busy boy, doing Marius until Oct, instructing a McGuire course in NOv, and then from Dec to Jan being Prince Chariming in Woking.

I have to ry to get there somehow. Its naot too far from me actually.

I thought you said it was Wokingham. That's good - Woking I can do.

Looking forward to seeing Gareth in Les Mis again at The Lowry.

A new album marking the 25th anniversary of Les Misérables will be released in July. The double CD will feature the full show.
