May 29, 201015 yr Despite all of this though, considering some of the disasters they've qualified with in the last few years it was sensational :drama: I just can't believe they've managed to DNQ with Lako Je Sve, yet that absolutely horrendous old man thing in 2008 went to the final... Plus, it came SECOND in the semi! edit: sorry, it actually was third. Edited May 29, 201015 yr by Ljósið
May 29, 201015 yr Does anyone reckon that Eurovision actually has any homophobic viewers, perhaps in other countries or anything? Maybe a silly theory considering how ESC seems to have a big gay fan-base, but Feminnem were dancing with female dancers, and did actually hold hands. I just can't believe they've managed to DNQ with Lako Je Sve, yet that absolutely horrendous old man thing in 2008 went to the final... My thoughts exactly :drama:
May 29, 201015 yr Maybe ESC is not the no. 1 gay event everywhere. ESC is the third most popular show in the world  The 1st world's most popular event is the Olympics and the second - world football championship. [/thisipop] (sorry for no Youtube videos :kink: ) I think this IS the gayest event everywhere then :heehee:
May 31, 201015 yr I'm sorta obsessed with this one atm, it's so funny but I know deep down I shouldn't be listening to it  Remember Silvia Night? LEos9VLtgFU In hindsight it's not as bad as I originally thought....it's cheesy as hell and she's a bit of a lame singer but it's pretty funny. Looking at this though it's so shocking how quickly eurovision has moved on from stuff like this.....I don't think there's been anything remotely like this in the last two years. It's kinda sad....we need a country to send something so bad it's good next year :( Edited May 31, 201015 yr by Sabrewulf
June 1, 201015 yr Exactly..Something truly horrible was missing. Slovenia tried and that wasn't bad but it wasn't bad enough either. We need something like this: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>" data-tag="youtube" data-tagfull="<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>"><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> That was horror and amazing at the same time! Nobody has ever made everyone dance like crazy at the Eurovision..That was totally awesome and I'm proud that it happened in Helsinki :D Edited June 1, 201015 yr by SKOB
June 4, 201015 yr Verka Serduchka was robbed at the Eurovision 2007. A complete and utter non-song won ('Malitva?') which went on to no. 1 in precisely zero countries. (that I'm aware of anyways, did it go to no. 1 in Serbia!!! :P ). Whilst Verka caught peoples attention and at least went top 10 in several countries. I still believe Serbia only won because it was their first time entering. Edited June 4, 201015 yr by Hitstastic
June 4, 201015 yr Serbia had the 2007 contest in the bag before we even knew the 2006 result :P In 2007, I was just a casual ESC viewer, it was in 2008 I became a mega-fan. But if Verka had won in 2007, I think that would've put me off Eurovision forever :puke2:

Thank god for Serebro eh :funky:
June 4, 201015 yr Whenever someone wins, I'd have preferred them to win the year before :kink: Russia should've won in 2007 instead of 2008, and Norway should've won in 2008 instead of 2009 :P Molitva was ok, I suppose it's good to know that a non-English song can still win, and a big 4 country can still win, so there can literally be no country claiming they can't win. Verka may have been a laugh or whatever, with the performance, but this is a song contest, and I can't stand the song.
