These countries somehow will never fail...

You can tell the votes were more spread out (and less countries voting), as didn't Jade get 173pts for 5th place last year? That would've got her 2nd place this year.

So there won't be 5 countries in the final next year, it be only 4 since Germany are part of the big 4 countries, unless Turkey end up being a wild card, as runners up, which is hardly unlikely.

The UK votes are strange to say the least in places...no Azerbaijan, Belgium or Iceland yet;

8 - Romania - This was the UK's true favourite song last night then :lol:

7 - Ireland - Poor Niamh, deserved a lot more really

6 - Denmark - Expected from the UK

5 - Ukraine - Wasn't just neighbourly voting that got this up there, we always seem to vote for them too - any diaspora about here? :o

4 - Germany - an absolute crime considering Alex Sings Oscar Swings got 7 from us, but at least it featured in our votes

3 - Israel - hmm...

2 - France - No shock for me, I knew this would get some UK televotes and predicted we'd give them 2 points in another thread

1 - Albania - A bit Alexandra Burke album filler I suppose so no shock here either...

Weren't we the only country not to vote for Denmark in the 2nd semi-final? :o

 

At least our 10pts went to 2nd place, and 8pts to 3rd place :cheer: Look forward to seeing our split jury/tele-vote results

But this year they deservedly made the Top 10, with such performance! :heart:

 

They all usually send pretty good entries (with the odd exception being Russia :lol: I swear i feel we will never DNQ unless all of the former USSR countries get into the opposite semi :lol: ) so i am not surprised they succeed all the time, plus the neighbours will always boost a little :heehee:

Come to think of it...IF (and BIG if) Sweden and Finland would've been in the same semi they both would've qualified with the help of points they give each other...

I thought Belgium would win semi 1 - check

I suggested Ireland would be teetering on the edge of qualification and close to missing out - check

I said that Latvia's song was nothing special and predicted a certain flop for it - check

I predicted top 3 for Iceland in the semi and mid-table or lower in the final - check

 

ok so Croatia only scrambling together 33 points is a massive shocker :o poor Anna though, gutted she couldn't get past Cyprus. And do Switzerland's results just get worse and worse? It was hardly the worst song there.

I would've thought the juries would've helped Switzerland out a bit more!
