Some bloc-voting still clearly exists - Ireland coming 24th in the final based on the tele-vote is totally undeserved :(

IMO, the Irish song was certainly not the 2nd worst song in the final, and I find it hard to believe that most people can honestly say it was

 

I agree in no way was Ireland the 2nd worst song, i cant believe how bad it did on televoting, only for the jury votes Ireland wouldnt have even made the final,

It wasn't the second worst song in the final, it just wasn't inspiring enough to get people to vote for it. Something like the Russian entry, which was pretty shocking compared to other entries is always going to have a fan base, whether it's politically motivated or not. Ireland's target audience probably preferred ballads with a bit more activity in the song and performace, eg. Georgia.

Stupid jury, I knew they'd let Germany down...thank god for voters with taste. Same with France, I said before that UK televoters would definitely vote for Allez Ola Ole and the suggestion was laughed at. Seems I was right :P Wow at Ireland topping the televote ahead of the usual suspects :o 8 from the jury to Ukraine...oh dear, I should have known our televoters wouldn't have gone for that.

For the final, I prefer the tele-votes. However, in the semi, they're let down by giving maximum to Lithuania :(

That's not what it means - it just means it was the 2nd least able song to place in the top ten of any given country. For all you know most nations could have placed it 11th in their overall vote.

 

And even so, that's still not indicative of bloc voting...

Why so? The juries are meant to vote based on the song, not the country's location; and seeing as Ireland's song was awful...
