June 4, 201015 yr Portugal: The Jury vote: 12 points to Greece 10 points to Romania 8 points to Spain 7 points to France 6 points to Belgium 5 points to Norway 4 points to Armenia 3 points to Germany 2 points to Moldova 1 point to Denmark The final outcome of the Portuguese vote (Jury+Televote): 12 points to Spain 10 points to Romania 8 points to Greece 7 points to France 6 points to Moldova 5 points to Belgium 4 points to Denmark 3 points to Norway 2 points to Russia 1 point to Germany
June 4, 201015 yr Well, last year France only came top 10 because of the jury vote - you win some, you lose some - I guess :P
June 4, 201015 yr Jessy Matador definitely didn't deserve that from the juries though, no way was it anywhere near 18th in the rank of the 25 performances, unless he was dire in the semis. I'd have put France in the top 5 performance wise quite easily - fun, upbeat and unlike anything else there. Shame they couldn't make it into the top ten but yeah, the rules can't be changed every year to suit a country doing better or worse - having said that, if the UK ever end up second again having topped the televoting, I shant be happy  Where do we reckon Russia were in televoting only, 7th or 8th :drama: thank god they were kept out of the top ten!
June 9, 201015 yr All of the countries split jury/televote results will be revealed in the next two weeks, will be interesting to find out if an all televoting show would have still favoured a big 4 country.
June 9, 201015 yr I think when all's revealed, Germany will still have won (if anything I bet the juries marked her down slightly) and France would have been top ten at least with televotes. The Big 4, with the exception of the UK put some good effort in this year to find contemporary chart friendly songs and it paid off! I don't think people were ever against voting for the big four, but we've sent some terrors in the last few years, as have France, Germany and Spain which aren't really worth wasting money to vote for. Look at the year we all came bottom four in 2005 - Spain sent a crap Las Ketchup rip off (to be replaced by the equally as awful real thing next year :kink:), Germany sent a bland tuneless rock/pop MOR thing by a woman who couldn't hold on to the weak tune that she had, France sent a completely forgettable dance pop song and the UK sent an Eastern European copycat song from one of the most hideous singers we have personality wise. In fact with Jordan in the same NF as Javine, the only thing that would have made it more dire was if the other two acts were Kerry Katona and Pete Burns  The only Big 4 song that truly deserved more than it got since 2003 and the intro of the semis/beginning of the big 4 flop era in my opinion was Germany's Texas Lightning - No No Never in 2006. I was gutted that it only came 15th but then country doesn't appeal to everyone so it wasn't a massive shock. But in 2009, I felt that the Big 4 all upped their game and again in 2010 apart from the UK in my opinion.

I was gutted that it did so poor, i blame the very static scene they chooses. Should they have some line dancers, something more "wow", it would have fare better. So it was only good for my generation, but not for the youth one ...
June 11, 201015 yr Portugal: The Jury vote: 12 points to Greece 10 points to Romania 8 points to Spain 7 points to France 6 points to Belgium 5 points to Norway 4 points to Armenia 3 points to Germany 2 points to Moldova 1 point to Denmark The final outcome of the Portuguese vote (Jury+Televote): 12 points to Spain 10 points to Romania 8 points to Greece 7 points to France 6 points to Moldova 5 points to Belgium 4 points to Denmark 3 points to Norway 2 points to Russia 1 point to Germany Well that explains why Greece got points from us, we normally dont give them anything
June 11, 201015 yr You know, with all these top points for Greece and Russia, it makes you wonder if there is something more to France's complaint than sour grapes... This is my fav german entry ever. I was gutted that it did so poor, i blame the very static scene they chooses. Should they have some line dancers, something more "wow", it would have fare better. So it was only good for my generation, but not for the youth one ... I loved No No Never too  Still makes me smile and sing along when I hear it.
June 13, 201015 yr Greece's appeal was obvious for gay men :kink: But the juries were meant to vote for an international hit weren't they? Which a song with no particular melody in Greek would not be
June 13, 201015 yr 'Vote for an international hit'? Since when was that in the job description?

June 28, 201014 yr Denmark 3rd in the televote :o At least Lena still won both, although it was always clear to me that she'd win the televote, I was hoping juries wouldn't bring her down. No shock to see France top ten on televoting, juries had it ridiculously low. Disappointed Belgium was only top 14 on the televoting though :( At least juries did one thing right by taking that into the top ten! Pushing Sweden out of semi 2 though in favour of 'can't hold a tune' Israel deserves a big :/ Revenge after people moaned at them putting Charlotte through in 2008 :drama:
June 28, 201014 yr I wish people would stop hitching about Greece. I like it slot this year, and even preffered it to Lena (TBF I isn't like her song) I must admit, I even liked Russia for some peculiar reason
June 28, 201014 yr I can only assume that Israel was much better in their dress rehearsals...5th in the final from juries?!?! Not surprised at all that Denmark did better with the public than with the juries, although quite surprised that Romania only came 6th with the public!
June 28, 201014 yr Author Wow...some real shocks there, especially Belgium in the televote! Not surprised we're bottom on both, though I'd like to know where our points came from.
June 28, 201014 yr Pushing Sweden out of semi 2 though in favour of 'can't hold a tune' Israel deserves a big :/ Revenge after people moaned at them putting Charlotte through in 2008 :drama: Quite, but we did at least lose Lithuania out of it, so maybe it's not all bad :o
June 28, 201014 yr So they're not revealing the complete split this year? But I bet all our 7pts in the tele-vote came from Ireland  Germany winning on all accounts, UK last on all accounts :w00t: Some bloc-voting still clearly exists - Ireland coming 24th in the final based on the tele-vote is totally undeserved :(
