Typically brilliant, and very generic and repetitive of course. RedOne has been putting together a Swedish girlband as a vehicle for some of his songs, and they have just released their debut single, Love Generation, the same name as the band, in Sweden. Fans of The Saturdays, Cascada's Evacuate The Dancefloor and anything to do with RedOne will probably love it, I love the 'da-da-da-da-da-da-da' bit which sounds a bit like a sung variation of the hook from Fedde Le Grand/Ida Corr's Let Me Think About It. Won't see the light of day in the UK of course so I might as well post it here.

Ooh, the video I uploaded for BJSC. :kink:

Fedde Le Grand was the first thing I thought of as well, even though it's RedOne by numbers, it somehow doesn't sound identical to his other productions.

Oh, really :o I just went to the 'recently added' videos on Youtube and this was the first one that came up!

I hadn't even noticed you'd reserved them - I thought about doing it when I posted this but two Swedish girlbands in a row probably wouldn't do my credibility any good :kink:

Agreed, and I expect this will be at least a top ten for you in BJSC (if you end up sending it), but then RedOne songs have a tendency to flop there for some reason. Poor Flipsyde/Jada/others I'm sure I've forgotten

I'm on the fence with the song tbh, as much as I like it there's nothing distinctively special or stand out about it, I'm just a sucker for a RedOne production. It's a small consideration for now, I'm leaning towards Hera Björk to fulfill Eurovision season. :P

Have you seen the live performance of the song? RedOne really has his work cut out if these girls are gonna make it big...:heehee:

Agreed I suppose. Yes I have Lena and Safura reserved, not sure if I'll use either of them though...

No, not yet, I was a bit scared to watch it on youtube knowing how awful new girlbands usually are live, will give it a watch later if I feel brave enough

Ooh, I love this

If you do decide not to use Lena, please give her to me ^_^ But if you do use her, I look forward to your country having a second win in a row :P

This is clearly absolute generic bilge and the first telling sign that RedOne has fallen into the Ryan Tedder/Timbaland trap of being a one-trick pony.

SO WHY DO I STILL LOVE IT?

It's a girlband. It's RedOne. It's Swedish. Rather inevitably then, I love it

I so agree with Rich on the 'da-da-da-da-da-da-da' bits though. That is actually

It's a bit Dancing In The Street 2010 innit #onefortheoldies

Seriously though, I love it  The da-da da-da's are soooooo hot, it's like disco never died
