Posted June 5, 201015 yr JACK JOHNSON’S CHART SEA CHANGE New Album Will Debut With Between 240-250k, Easily Going #1 June 2, 2010 It’s summer and surf’s up, so what better time Jack Johnson to hang 10 on next week’s HITS Album chart. His new Brushfire/Universal Republic album, To the Sea, will easily be the #1 record next week, with a range of 240-260k in sales. His last release, Sleep Through the Static, came out in Feb. 2008, with a first-week total of 375k. Next highest debut will be Mercury/IDJ U.K. hip-pop producer/writer/performer Taio Cruz, who’s already topped the stateside singles chart with “Break Your Heart,” featuring Ludacris. His stateside bow, Rokstarr, is the week’s next highest debut, with a total anywhere from 22-27k.
