My top 5 Eurovision were by far the best from 2010 and great that Eurovision had a great winner too. As much as I like 'Drip Drop', I really don't like the single cover. A really unflattering picture of Safura. :( Oh yes, I was aware that I had two French tracks side by side when I compiled the top 10. Of course Stromae is going to be the most successful overall.

 

I still really like B.o.B's track hence it's no. 1 for its third week. Whether it makes a fourth week is left to be seen.

I like different genres and I thought 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' was a great song and made an interesting winner.

Every year after Eurovision I chart songs from the contest that I really like. 2010 is the first time I even listened to all semi final tracks (all 39 of them!!! :o ). In previous years I'd only followed the live final and never bothered with the semi final. Safe to say most of the better songs qualified. My top 6 Eurovision songs of 2010 all successfully in my top 12 (Hera just misses out but no. 12 is still great for Iceland).

Just like last year, David Guetta could climb as some of the Eurovision tracks start to lose interest and ultimately drop down. The higher placed tracks should stick around for a whole though. :D

How exactly is this lazy? :lol: You want lazy, I recommend anything by Westlife. It's an original but quirky pop track - granted, Lena pronounces some words a bit odd but it adds to the charm of the song.

I do agree that this is another example of a brilliant contemporary pop song doing well at Europe. It's a shame that without Eurovision, there would be a lot of great tracks I would probably never hear of - unless they were successful across Europe in their own right.

Oh no, I still like this loads but Tom Dice probably benefitted the most as initially Hera was going to chart higher. 'Me And My Guitar' must have easily been my most listened to Eurovision track of last week - but then I have to take all other songs into consideration too. Even the new entries that aren't Eurovision related.

I do like 'Apricot Stone' but it never going to rival my top 6 Eurovision tracks of 2010. In fact this song wasn't even my 7th fave at first but like Tom Dice it got a popularity boost.

Yes, amongst all the Eurovision dominance of this week Alicia Keys still managed to climb up again. Even though I've been charting the song now for 15 weeks, I've yet to tire of this song and even now when they show the video on the music channels I always watch just to listen to the song. Incredible and so glad it's finally getting the recognition the song deserves.

You really think so? I've gone off this a bit since the final. To say this was my third fave at one point (before the semi finals even began), it's now dropped down to becoming my eighth fave Eurovision song from 2010. This track will probably be lucky to hold on inside my top 40 next week - I've not played it once since early last week.

Believe it or not I actually had 19 songs as potential new entries - the three that missed out were Juliana Pasha 'It's All About You', maNga 'We Could Be The Same' and Madcon 'Glow'. It's also not the first time I've had a massive clear out. Iirc, there was one week last year where I had 17 new entries in one week which is the record for most entries in a week for me.
