I'm not planning on making a top whatever list. But I'm just interested in seeing who you want to acknoowledge.

Personally I would highly recommend these drummers:

Tim Yeung (Divine Heresy)

Hellhammer (formerly of Dimmu Borgir)

Zbigniew Robert Prominski (Behemoth)

Xul (Melechesh)

What genres are we talking here? Certianly in the mainstream, Zac Farro of Paramore is very good and I have always been a Tré Cool disciple

In terms of metal drummers, Joey Jordison is a god. Do you play by any chance?

I make a habit of not watching these videos because they depress me :P

Travis barker should be no. 1 on this list. He is the most original drummer and has energy full of emotion!
In terms of drummers less fitting to this forum, Ronnie Vanucci (Killers) is very good, got quite a distinctive style. Jimmy Chamberlin (Smashing Pumpkins) is awesome, "Cherub Rock" is one of the best things to drum to ever. Taylor Hawkins as well, anyone who Dave Grohl calls "the best drummer in the world" has got to be pretty great

Well, I like his drumming. I think he's one of the most talented drummers in metal genre. But why on earth did you introduce Hellhammer in context of the band Dimmu Borgir? Yeah, DB is well known band and respected among metal fans, but he joined them only in 2005. The band released seven albums till then (and I think their best work too). So I personally rate him highly because of his drumming in Arcturus (great avant-garde metal band) - just listen to his drumming on "La Masquerade Infernale" LP or especially on "The Sham Mirrors" LP - for me this is an amazing dark art.

Also important is his presence on Mayhem records (though I'm not their biggest fan tbh ;-) I find their the most bizarre album the best one (I'm talking about "Grand Declaration of War"). Really he is/was involved in so many musical projects, it's discriminatory to tie him exclusively with Dimmu Borgir.
