October 3, 201014 yr Is the heart and I on robbies new greatest hits album?? Im half debating buying robbies greatest hits as i do like some of singles but dont like his material enough to buy studio albums, on saying that if i decice to buy it i will be waiting until the sales are on after christmas and pick it up aa bit cheaper. Shame really is a love or hate song i have to say that. For me i love it but i can totally see why people wouldnt like it. I am slightly confused by gary and robbie doing the single, it must be because it was mainly gary and robbie fell out but shame could have easily been a robbie and take that single. Still as i said im a fan of shame and it has fuelled my interest even further to hear the new Take That/Robbie album.
October 4, 201014 yr ROBBIE WILLIAMS AND GARY BARLOW 'TOO GAY' FOR STRICTLY The Star Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have come under attack for being “too gay’’ on Strictly Come Dancing. And 10million viewers saw the former feuding singers perform a “bromantic’’ duet on Saturday. The track called Shame marks the end of their long- running spats which started when Robbie walked out of Take That some 15 years ago Dressed in matching black suits, Robbie, 36, and Gary, 39, kept gazing into one another’s eyes like lovers while sitting on stools. Then they got on their feet and did a few dance moves before hugging one another. One mum posted a message on the BBC Strictly forum: “I’m not certain how appropriate Robbie and Gary making googly eyes and singing a love song at each other may be. “A lot of young boys were switching on at 6.55pm to watch Merlin afterwards.”Another viewer added: “I almost expected tongues.” There were also protests about former EastEnders star Kara Tointon, 27, and her kinky S&M style outfit. After taking a tumble, she said: “It was the dominatrix look I was going for and then I fell over! How embarrassing.” One viewer blasted: “My 80-year-old mum does not want someone telling her about being a dominatrix. “She just wants some family entertainment.” http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/15670...y-for-Strictly/
October 4, 201014 yr Shame is number 3 on itunes now, so i think its safe for top 3 this sunday, just a matter of what position at this stage.

It's not like they were having sex on stage for christs sake & they're both married so it's not even like it's a real romance. Two men showing love for each other, whatever is the world coming to!? They're number two in the midweeks and they're behind by quite a large margin. I really thought they'd be getting the top spot easy :o

I really thought they'd be getting the top spot easy :o I'm glad it isn't ... it isn't nearly as good a song as some of the other contenders for number 1. I hope its sales aren't too great either ... I don't want to look back in a year or so's time and find out this rather mediocre song has sold more copies than truly good songs like Patience and Rule The World ... and for Robbie's part ... Feel and Rock DJ. Kath
October 5, 201014 yr Although shame isnt eithers best work i still love it and am delighted to see it doing so well,it should manage at least 50k this week.
October 5, 201014 yr Author Although shame isnt eithers best work i still love it and am delighted to see it doing so well,it should manage at least 50k this week. I think it will do. Its sales are very front-loaded though ... a large amount of that 27K sold so far will be fans who pre-ordered it and those sales are included therein. Mind you ... most Take That fans will go out to HMV now and stick about five copies in their basket! Kath
October 5, 201014 yr I don't want to look back in a year or so's time and find out this rather mediocre song has sold more copies than truly good songs like Patience and Rule The World ... and for Robbie's part ... Feel and Rock DJ. I don't think it will have the longevity to sell as well as those songs. Patience and Rule The World were in the charts for absolutely ages and still re-enter at the lower ends of it every time they make a major TV appearance or when they're played on shows like The X factor. I think Shame will drop down quite quickly, especially once The Flood premiere's and starts getting all the attention.
October 5, 201014 yr Its not just the physical or that it has been front loaded as to be fair it was number 2 in the last itunes update i saw. There is isnt a chnace shame willo sell anything near patience and especially rule the world. I think singles wise for take that part 2 nothing will outsell rule the world. The album sales for the new album is gonna be whats interesting, especially to see if they can manage 3 consecutive studio album to all sell over 2 million each, although there is a strong chance that wont happen i still think the album will eventually manage somewhere around 1.5 million which would be fantastic. If the new album does manage to sell that amount take that will have roughly sold 8 million albums in the Uk alone since their return which would be bloody marvelous in my eyes.
October 6, 201014 yr Author Number 1 now for the first time on itunes. Cee Lo has actually just replaced it at number 1 on iTunes. No getting away from it ... the best Rob can hope for on Sunday is number 2. Edited October 7, 201014 yr by Kathyp
October 8, 201014 yr Did you all see them on Paul O'Grady? It was pretty cringeworthy, the whole thing was about Robbie, Gary got shoved to the side and was basically blamed for the whole fall-out. It was pretty awkward in places and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it happened all over again.....
October 8, 201014 yr I didnt think t was awkward but it was heavily about robbie and gary hardly got a word in edge ways.
October 10, 201014 yr Shame as made a #2 debut in the UK this week which im thrilled with, im sure sales are quiet good aswell,
October 12, 201014 yr Great opening sales and with it mid top 10 this week it will sell enough to bring it very near to 100,000 sales.
October 15, 201014 yr Shame on week 2 drops just 2 places to number 10 in Ireland this week. Im quite happy with that.
October 15, 201014 yr Author I'm glad for them that its done reasonable business ... but to be honest Pete ... I don't like Shame and never have done so I can't really say much about it.
