No - surely they're only talking about Rob's Greatest Hits album ... which may feature the Take That songs that he sung lead on ... plus a new song that he and Gary are doing together. I hope. I still think TT will announce the end within a year or so. And I really doubt they'll tour again. Something has been lost. There was an innocence about them (especially on this return - despite the four of them being older). I now feel a (large) degree of arrogance has set in and any humility they show now ... comes across as false to me. I still love the Beautiful World album and to a lesser extent the Circus album ... and both tours (three if you include the comeback tour) will be remembered fondly by me ... but over the last 12 months or so ... something changed for me (and no - nothing to do with Gary outing himself as a Tory back-slapper) my cynicism set in quite a while before that. June 10, 201015 yr Id say the greatest hits is mor ethr robbie thinh, i can see take that doing anew studio album and then a new greatest hits package, after that it is hard to know what will happen.
June 12, 201015 yr Author Overall, I think "Beautiful World" was better and more successful due to the success around the singles really. They didnt seem to release a single from "The Circus" which stood up to the same amount of success and popularity in comparison to their 1st album but saying that, its difficult to keep up with that level of momentum and there was something fresh and quite exciting about them when they first came back which seems to have disappeared slightly. I hope the next album contains some more killer single releases.
June 12, 201015 yr For me the circus was and still is a far better album than beautiful world. Both sold amazingly well and in a way beautiful world had an advantage as the whole buzz of them returning with a brand new studio album gave the the album a boost in a way, on the other handi do agree beautiful world prodiced better single and more killer singles where the singles from the circus lacked in that way however i still think up all night should have been a far bigger hit and just as big as shine. Overall though in most cases when acts sell 2 million plus with an album the follow up doesnt do near aswell and luckily the circus did almost aswell and has also sold well over 2 million copies, i think with beautiful world the pressure was on them to return with a strong album which they most certainly did, the sucess of that probably added pressure when writing/producing the circus as they knew they needed to do a strong follow up and again they definitly did that so again the pressure is on them to come up with the goods for the third album. I think with the whole mark own cheating etc and their previous success they will more than eager to deliver a strong album again and i have evry confidence in them to do it again. I still find it amazing that since the whole return between the studio album and the greatest hits they have sold over 6 million album in the UK i never in a million years would have predicted the return to be so successful, this mixed the sold out tours and huge selling dvds only adds more to their astonishing success in the UK. All i can say is long may it last.
