Maroon 5MusicMaroon 5 have revealed details about their forthcoming album, called Hands All Over.

The band's third studio album, a follow-up from 2007's It Won't Be Soon Before Long, was recorded in Switzerland with the famously reclusive producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, who is best know for his work with AC/DC and Def Leppard.

The band's frontman Adam Levine told Rolling Stone: "He worked me harder than anyone ever had. I would come in with a finished song, and he'd say, 'That's a good start. Now strip it down to the drums and start over'.

"His opinion was, 'Your success is cute, but I think you can be huge'," he added.

The group have revealed two of the LP's songs as 'Stutter' and 'Out of Goodbyes', a country ballad featuring Lady Antebellum.

Levine added: "Our first record was a reflection of my love for Stevie Wonder. With the second I kept going back and forth between Prince and the Police.

"But there was no-one in my mind for this album. It's just great pop."

Maroon 5 recently stated that this would be their last record as a group.

I think it should belong in the album thread!

i wasnt sure where to post it when i saw it, plus when i read they were splitting after this album i didnt know where to post it, so move it as you wish as i wasnt overly sure where to put it,thanks.
Eh, it probably should be in the album thread but the article doesn't have any information that we don't already know except for the fact they are meant to be splitting up. It took them about a decade together before they reached 'Songs About Jane' I don't see them calling it quits after just three studio albums.

I hope its not true either but maybe it will all rest on the success of this album, im sure either way a greatest hits will follow this album so either way we have 2 albums to come from them yet.
A greatest hits after three albums is pretty pointless, even if you would count it as 7 years worth of music. I don't think they are the Greatest Hits type of band anyway. :P
The remix album can pretty much count as GH anyway :kink:
