OK, pretty self explanatory.

Out of all the countries, if they could send anyone who was either born in their country or is dual nationality. Who would be potential runaway winners?

For example:

Poland - Behemoth (Not sure if it would be allowed as they are satanic)

or

Armenia - System Of A Down (As long as they don't sing anti-Turkey or Anti-Azeri songs haha)

Well you get my drift :)

I won't go for potential runaway winners, but just foreign acts I'd like to see:

Ireland - Boyzone, Westlife

Netherlands - Eva Simons, Esmee Denters, Within Temptation

Romania - Inna, Edward Maya

Belgium - Stromae?

Spain - Enrique Iglesias

Sweden - Agnes

Greece - Marina & The Diamonds :P (I think she's part Welsh, part Greek)

I doubt Behemoth would be runaway winners, or even winners for that matter. System of a Down undoubtedly would though...

Nightwish for Finland?

Who I'd love to see at Eurovision:

Austria - Visions Of Atlantis

Belgium - Lasgo, Milk Inc.

Croatia - Colonia, ET

Denmark - Alphabeat, Aqua, Infernal, Medina, Spleen United, The Storm

Estonia - Hannah, Kerli

Finland - Anna Abreu, Apocalyptica, Darude, HIM, Nightwish, The Rasmus, Tarja Turunen, Turisas

France - Alizee, David Guetta, Jenifer, M Pokora, Sheryfa Luna, Superbus

Georgia - Katie Melua

Yeah they could, it would just depend if their song yes accused of satanism, it would attract slot of metal fans to eurovision and get them voting.

Nightwish please

^You need crossover to win though, you can't just send any old metal and rely on controversy to win. Lordi had crossover, playing just to metal fans won't work.

Ghosty made me realize that I missed so many :drama:

France: David Guetta

Germany: Cascada

Denmark: Alphabeat, Infernal, Medina, Sukkerchok

Finland: The Rasmus

Georgia: Katie Melua

Malta: Chasing Pandora

Norway: Madcon

What was this crossover?

^The fact that, due to the overblown and almost comic nature, a lot of people who don't normally listen to/like heavy metal decided to vote for it? Obvious, no?
Nightwish create interesting symphonic metal music though, not MOR dad rock like most failed metal acts in Eurovision perform. Having said that, I never understood why Hanna Pakarinen flopped in 2007 :(

The crossover for Behemoth would be that they are rebellious due to the fact they are extremely satanic! I for one would vote for it (I am not satanic, I am christian, I like the music)
I doubt Satanism alone would really bring enough crossover. There'd be a HUGE sense of 'been there, done that' as Lordi were accused of the same - and it isn't really a big deal anymore in most countries.

But the fact is, they weren't satanist, plus the fact that Behemoth would openly admit they are satanist. Either ways, I still think behemoth would win :)
^Yeah, but it's about perception. Lordi were perceived as being Satanist, which was a part of their appeal. I doubt Satanism would really be enough to bag them victory, and think it's slightly patronising to the rest of the contest to think that a gimmick as weak as 'we worship Satan' on its own would be enough to bag victory...
Not to mention the impact of the jury vote. Even if the public bought into the hype, I couldn't see any jury voting in their droves for any old Behemoth song, it would have to be something melodically strong and memorable.

Yeah, that was a great disappointment. Doesn't mean they can't try again though, especially now they've improved vastly during the last decade.

Of course not..And as they're huge these days, they would probably win the national final with any song
